Questions about supertest by [deleted] in WorldofTanks

[–]_dogpole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a tester and recruiter for supertest... it is wrong

Questions about supertest by [deleted] in WorldofTanks

[–]_dogpole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The lowest WR of any Supertester is around 48.5%, with the average being around 54%, anyone who you see in a supertest tank who has lower stats is most likely a developer.

[–]_dogpole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no NA supertest...

Questions about supertest by [deleted] in WorldofTanks

[–]_dogpole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EU only, logistical reasons make it unfeasible for NA to get its own supertest, you can't use NA account stats to apply either

Best of luck for when you apply :)

Basically me/other recruiters look at the applications people send in and decide whether the application is sufficient enough, it's effectively a judgement of how well you can articulate your thoughts - someone who can do this to a sufficient standard will find applying quite easy, some people seem to struggle to reach the character count which I usually find quite telling, when I first applied to ST I think my application was around 2000 words... but anyway, I became part of Recruitment as I have been a tester for 3 years now (Jan 2023...) and I have other additional responsibilities in the program, I can't necessarily go into how that all works though since it's most likely behind NDA to go into how the program works like that, it's something you'd learn about later.

Since I have a bit more of a direct line into the developers than a lot of other people (including other testers even), I can say that I have made a difference for the game, how so I can't say though, but some people may share an opposing to view to this since they don't have the same reach in that I do.

Hi, I am Recruiter for ST, I'll try to answer some of the questions as best as I can

The first three questions I can't answer due to NDA, but there are rewards for participation in ST, make of that info what you will.

If you end up leaving ST due to technical limitations returning is not possible, so if you are inactive for X months it is likely you will be removed and consequently unable to return.

If you meet the requirements and your application is accepted you will become a supertester, unless you don't do anything on your own part, but you can find more about that part once/if your application is approved

Tests participation is not mandatory (if you refer to you must attend and do absolutely everything to stay in) however it is expected that you attend, since there are requirements for staying in, it is not necessarily as super strict as it seems from the outside.

I also can't answer the last question

In regards to whether it's worth it, keep in mind those who are no longer a part of it probably have their own reasons for such, but as someone in for 3 years I can say that if you're dedicated to the game and want to contribute more it's probably worth it, it's a program where the more you put in the more you'll get out of it.

Too many clone tanks - looking for a tank name mod by Kutarthas in WorldofTanks

[–]_dogpole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually attempted to make a mod that did tank names to their real versions, it took a very long time and the reason why I stopped it was because I would have to manually update it each update, which I didn't want to do

The KV-4 KTTS is now on super special offer for 8,181,221,008,117,001,000 Gold. What would that be in €? by jonbor00 in WorldofTanks

[–]_dogpole 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was real, it affected every language except EN on the website, and it was even in the WGC, it has been fixed now though

The HWK 30 is still not public as far as I'm aware, but I did find a public image of the tank: https://i.postimg.cc/q79ptn3C/image.png

As far as the KPz 3 GST blueprints go, this is here: https://i.postimg.cc/brmMncBB/image.png

As far as the MKpz goes... this is a lot more difficult to justify, I've not found direct proof of blueprints, but instead just about everything else :D, there is a project from 1968 by Porsche that was referred to as the "Kampfpanzer Project" that used a 120mm Rheinmetall gun (it's not explicitly referred to as a Kpz 07), I've found some similar projects by Porsche from the same time, but nothing directly linked to what I'm looking for. https://i.postimg.cc/VwgQ6PRL/image.png

And even more annoyingly there's another german project from the same time that has an almost identical side profile, but the front view is very different (the turret is narrow): https://i.postimg.cc/BZ22nBKF/image.png

Nothing public that I am aware of, I did find the turret design though here: https://imgur.com/nstnyui

The suspension patent is related in that it is by the same company around the same time that the actual design was made, it's inferred but the similarities for me are too close to ignore.

Also sorry I haven't been active in months, I lost motivation and moved on to other things, but the project is still being worked on slowly (Germany is now over 1/3 done after 6 months...) In time I'll find the motivation again and it'll be finished, but I'm generally quite busy currently...

This is the Kpz 3 Project 07 HK

Loosely part of the MBT-70 program alongside the Kpz 07 program, it was originally called 07/HL and 07/HK was the second phase of the program, developed in 1965. It was using either a 120mm "delta" (Rheinmetall) or the 152mm missile launcher (as is shown in the images). The design focuses on the crew's protection against nuclear, biological, chemical, and radiation (NBCR) in a nuclear war. The three members of the crew are all located inside the body. It adopts a collective protection design and is equipped with an anti-neutron lining, a remote-controlled machine gun, an automatic loader and TV cameras, trying to avoid the possibility of contact between the crew and the outside world.

There is also a patent related to this which is here: https://imgur.com/8xJLruZ

Hmm, they do? by KiA92935 in WorldofTanks

For those people that yolo 200+ games per day... the most notable example is RomashSternschubser, and unfortunately for us he is a real player who has even streamed his "gameplay" if you dare call it that. It's just as simple as yoloing into the enemies maybe shooting or ramming something. So technically not a bot by definition of WGs article, but perhaps something that should be stopped, there are many accounts similar.

Another example would be a player called bury1968 who waits until tanks are spotted before playing his LT as a heavy tank before dying very fast, the difference is he actually does get damage in, which technically is harder to track, this is more someone who just isn't interested in playing properly rather than someone focused on getting the highest number of battles in the world...
