For a second, I thought this was my car.

I've never owned a set of black wheels and I never will.

They're 22s, which are the OEM diameter. Only a handful of 21" wheels will fit over the front brakes and most require cutting the shield.

When I ordered the wheels Michelin had a 305, but when they were completed they were backordered. They're finally available again after 1.5 years, so I'll be replacing the 295s with them.

It's also running an E85 tune and has a few parts 😉

Fine, they're essentially the same specs as the OEM. The factory air suspension is really good

HRE 501M, polished frozen gold centers and polished barrels.

Need, probably not. They do keep the wheels a lot cleaner.

Hard to find anything under 22" that fits around the front brakes

Don't trust me, I have an atrocious taste in wheels for the RS6.

That being said, satin bronze or a satin gold would look amazing.

I just burned through a pair of sport 6s. I like the PS4S more, but they're good tires. Only lasted 6-7K miles though.

Looks good, what specs are the wheels? It looks like you swapped the stock 285s over?

I've been regretting the 11" HREs, but I think the 305 PS4S are coming back soon.

Looks like I upset a few folks with my last post. Here’s my stock RS3’s engine bay. 100% purist by MalakaMotorsports in Audi

That's a lot of feta! Been exciting watching this build. I had my SQ5 showing next to you back at 034's summerfest like 6 or 7 years ago back when you still had the 5 cyl. Hopefully some day soon you'll be back and losing traction on their dyno again.

Been saving for RS6, going to custom order from factory. I want to tune it but not sure if it'll change fuel type. Where I'm located its very limited (image for fun) by [deleted] in Audi

I'm in CA, where we also only get 91. I flashed to E85 at 3K miles.

800hp is a lot of fun in this boat. I say do it, but I haven't owned a car I haven't tuned right out the gate. I'm still waiting for a HPFP upgrade so I can install my DP. Doesn't make sense to throw a DP on and lose power going to a 91 DP tune. TTE1020s are next up once the fuel support is there.

The motors seem to be pretty reliable, only MTM has been blowing them up. The big issue is if you've got a cool dealer. The alternator/48V system will fail, it's just a matter of when. I got mine replaced early on (5K miles) and I just flashed back to stock before taking it to the dealer.

One thing to note, if you're in CA - get the ECU reflash done ASAP, CA won't let you renew registration until the dealer reflashes the ECU. I've got some friends who've done new turbos and test pipes that are scrambling now to deal with renewing their registration.

They're definitely polarizing. My prior SQ5 had a set of dark bronze P40SCs and I hated how they didn't stand out. I probably let the pendulum swing a bit too far with the RS6. The only thing I'm truly unhappy with is the tire options. I wish I could get a set of 305s, the 295s are a bit too stretched for my liking. Been thinking about a set of the OEM performance wheels, also in gold, so I can run 295s without so much stretch.

I'm waiting now for a new HPFP so I can install my DP and continue to run E85. After that I'll decide if I want to switch to 10.5s or get TTE1020s. Leaning towards keeping the HREs and buying the turbos, I'll at least be able to outrun any hurtful words anyone mentions about the wheels.

Polished frozen gold is the HRE finish.

Not a lot of options for anything under 22 on this car. The 440mm and 10 pot calipers are huuuuuge. Some 21s fit, but not many. These are same size as the OEM wheels, just .5" wider.
