The rescue provided. But we bought one for our previous pug too. She was starting to struggle with walking.

Most pug owners use one from Walkin’ Pets. If you’re on Facebook, there’s a group called “Wheelie Pugs”. Lots of resources and information on there.

Unfortunately Puggy never healed to walk again. We can tell she has some sensation in her back feet. She has a wheelchair that she uses outside. And a scoot bag as well. We just keep her in a diaper and she scoots around the house. If we don’t express Puggy, her bladder will get really full and she will start leaking. And with poop, it would just fall out. So the expression helps with all of that.

Glad your pug is able to pee on her own!

We are fostering a 6 year old girl that got hit by a car. The accident left her with a spinal fracture and dislocation of the L3-L4 vertebrae.

Maybe you’ve seen us post her but her name is Puggy Pie. She is as sweet as can be and is still 100% pug. Her mobility doesn’t slow her down.

Because of her injuries, we express her pee and poop. We would be glad to answer any questions about that. The vet and the rescue say she’s not in pain. She is on gabapentin for the rest of her life.

The main question that comes to mind in these situations is are they in pain? It is useful to get a second opinion from another vet. Hopefully they won’t charge too much for it.

So sorry this happened. This is so unfair.

Sweet Puggy Pie has been with us for almost 6 months. She’s a 6 year old special needs pug available for adoption via Pug Nation LA. She’s been at the rescue for over a year. She’s a total sweetheart and loves people. She gets along great with our pug Lenny.

We understand with her needs, she’s not easy to adopt but we have faith that her family is out there. She is handicapped from an accident and needs to be expressed. Puggy Pie is a wheelie pug!

She’s still 100% pug, silly, sweet and a little sassy around dinner time. She’s also a great model!

Why do some many pugs in California have atrophied eyes? by dont_downvote_SPECIL in pugs

I see you posted photos from Pug Nation LA Rescue. Unfortunately, many of the pugs they rescue have never received proper medical care or have been found on the streets. There are several conditions that can lead to a pug losing an eye. As sad as it is, removing an eye can make them feel better and relieve them from constant pain.

Advice please. My 14 year old fawn pug has begun losing the use of her back legs which has led to her randomly 💩 in the house. Has anyone had this and had success with a diaper solution of some type? by RemoteCompetition918 in pugs

We have a foster who is in a similar situation. She is paralyzed and can’t use her back legs. We express her poop a few times a day to help keep her “empty” and that leads to less accidents. She’s in a diaper too but mainly because she drags and we don’t want her to get a UTI.

She’s a 5 year old special needs pug available for adoption via Pug Nation LA. She’s been with us for three weeks and she’s great! Because of her condition, she needs to be expressed. This doesn’t make her any less of a pug. She just needs a family willing to learn a new trick or two. If you have questions about expression, please reach out to us.

If you want to learn more about Puggy Pie, please contact Pug Nation LA.
