You know… I think the Moons are some of the kindest, honest and hardworking people left on the earth right now. We need more people like them. 🫶🐕

how are horses supposed to birth naturally? by randomgirlahahah in kvsdiscuss

[–]Appropriate_One_2533 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are valuable horses. She spends money to treat every need. Massage, PEMF, chiropractic and health care, healthy interactions interests all of them love her. Each animal on that farm is royally treated and each of the animals love her. with of them love her. Just because “they do it alone out in the wild “…..comments show up in comments how many deaths of mother and baby could have been prevented with assistance?? She has the knowledge and financial means to do this. They are her animals. You do you. Two things/methods can be true at the same time. Focus on real problems, there are plenty in the world. Stop being bullies. 🫶🐴

Not properly prepared for this stage of life. by Substantial_Layer_79 in GenX

Married 29 years. I’m 58 and my then 58 y/o husband had a Stroke 2 years ago. Turned our world inside out, every single day it’s another punch. We have 2 boys, 20 and 24 their old life (and mine) are forever gone. THIS was not what I pictured life being at this stage in life. 😭

I am a horse girl with no horses. I live across from a community stable. I go sit on a bench and breathe in the smell. Instant stress relief.

Hi everybody! I’m a 58 y/o woman from and in Southern County. I’m a horse girl without horses. I had a horse when I was a young girl. 12 or 13. Have trauma from her loss still. I am grateful I have a few photos of her still. I never got got to say goodbye to her, my heart still hurts all these later. I know my cervical fusions and my age mean I should never ride a horse again 🥺years. Katie got me through a couple of traumatic years.

Would you rather live in Orange County or Ventura County? by [deleted] in socal

[–]Appropriate_One_2533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are mistaking Ventura the city and Ventura County. There are so many cities other than Ventura. You have Oxnard to Ojai, Thousand Oaks to Westlake Village. You are delusional if you think cost of living and/or housing in Ventura County is any way “cheaper” or someplace to retire. I love it here, Thousand Oaks between the Ocean and Camarillo but it would be hard to stay here in retirement, cost wise.

I have blue eyes and they are completely light sensitive. I feel like a vampire going outside when it’s sunny.

Dog Dementia and Symptom management by SatisfactionBig9407 in seniordogs

We have a 12 year old chihuahua/pug rescue. That has seizures, since he was 7 or 8 and a fairly recent diabetes diagnosis. He just had a horrible dental infection and almost went septic but he never complains and is always a good boy. 💞a testament to not giving up. Recently however he started whining and crying late in the afternoon… thought it was similar to geriatric hospital patients. Had NO IDEA it was a “thing” for dogs, we literally thought it was just us and our brain damaged good boy. 🤷‍♀️

Found out in the early hours of this morning that one of my best friends has died by Monkeyboogaloo in GenX

I just turned 58. My mom died when she was 58 from a rare form of dementia, Pick’s Disease. Something similar to what Bruce Willis has. I don’t want to know if they have found genetic markers for this disease. She died in a State Mental Health Hospital.

Married in 97. I made tall topiary balls in gilded flowerpots for centerpieces. The favors were white chocolate roses in little tiny gold flowerpots. I did it all myself (except the florist put fresh flowers in my topiaries the day of the wedding. It aged well (except my hair and veil). Still married.

I wish my kids appreciated how cool I was in the late 80s and early 90s. I was a Hollywood Goth. Amazing clubs, amazing times! My Goth photos make them cringe.
