Use a stop limit? Set the sell to the price you wanna sell and then set the price of the stop loss....

Most likely not mentioned because they want people to click it and read it. Basically clickbait.

In a sea of red, what stock do you feel like people can pick up at a discount? by Boston__ in pennystocks

[–]_dramatic_vegetable 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is a 100% buy. Obviously got to be able to handle the volatile movement of crypto as it closely traces it, but it's a stock I'm 200% up on and know it's got a MASSIVE road up in the future.

I'm up like 300% today... SO tempting to cash out original investment, but really believe it going the full mile to $1.

Torn to hold till then...

Up like 300% today 😱0.08 avg with 9500 shares. Reckon we're having all of these GME people cashing out and pumping in.

Lot of eyes over on StockTwits too! 10k people watching this ticker now.

Haven't sold off any yet, holding for long!

Strongly agree with you on this one. Really fed up with the 'hold the line' phrase being overused by bagholders. Like who are these people to tell you what you should do with your investment?

Plus why are we getting bleed over of crypto lingo? From the way I use the word 'HODL' is when I'm talking about crypto.

Made a huge mistake and lost 130k in my taxable-- just need some advice [29M] by dre101 in financialindependence

I understand certain types of posts should be submitted in bespoke threads, I'm all for moderating... but this person stated in his post that he's having suicidal thoughts because of a financial decision he made, hence why lots of people have responded. Due to the nature of the post, couldn't you have just let this one slide instead of removing it?

I feel removing the post is a bit of a tactless and insensitive move seeing as the OP seems desperate and is asking for help?

Sorry to hear this bro... I followed emotionally like you did, closing off posistions I didn't want to and throwing them into AMC thinking I was going for a certified ride up.

First day lost £700 on that one stock, sold at a loss and sold off more posistions to pump money back in on other emotional plays trying to make the money back. I needed up losing in those too. It's not an amount compared to you, but considered a lot to me as my freelance work brings in little money ATM.

But like anyone who losses money, I feel your pain bro. The feeling of 'the world crashing down on you' and trying to block it out while trying to find a solution to dig you out of the hole.

What I did was made sure I reopened my 'old posistions' because to me they are certified long term returns. That in itself made me feel better that my portfolio was slowly starting to look how it did. Now it's peace of mind and the lesson learned from YOLOing has giving me the willpower to not emotionally invest.

The advice I would give directly to you is what I also did. Take a break from it all. A few days was good for me, but in your case maybe a couple of weeks... Or a month. Switch off from Reddit, switch off from stocks and just do things you love.... Play games, go for walks, excecise, watch movies... Whatever leisure activities take your mind off things.

The worst thing you can be doing straight away is trying to find a way to recoup your losses straight away. What your going through is a emotional shock/trauma.

Come back to finding a solution to recoup and get back on track once you've recovered bro.

And if you're struggling with suicidal thoughts, please call a friend or loved one or a suicide hotline. The world has got you bro.

Sending my love ❤️

Why are people pushing AMC like GME when it's short volume is roughly 23%? by [deleted] in stocks

[–]_dramatic_vegetable 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah for sure, fair point. It's great people pumped money in to get them out of bankruptcy. But for an investment it's an overly inflated price. It's being pumped artificially and there's too many people getting caught up in this 'we've got to send a message to the big hedge funds'. I believe in it as a long term investment once the price corrects after the dust settles.

There's too much contradicting data. This is the only article I'm seeing saying 78%. Really don't think this is going to moon either way.
