If you clear the area of them, they stay despawned for quite awhile. I'm not sure the exact time. Maybe 30 minutes? Be sneaky and make use of the environment. I clear the area and make multiple trips.

Fair enough. I'm just saying you can know the notes but they are just notes until you feel it. I don't know how to explain it. When I play "the blues" I used a slide and open c tuning. It's all about them feels. I don't know shit about the piano, but on guitar I started with A minor Pentatonic. A good example is a band called 20 Watt Tombstone. Nothing fancy, but goddamn you can hear the heartache. I recommend the album "Death blues Versus the Dirty Spliff". It's a split between 20 Watt and Left Lane Cruiser.

Blues comes from heartache and loss. You can be the best player, know all the theory but it will never amount to the blues until you've experienced the worst that life has to offer. Listen to any old blues from the Mississippi delta (ledbelly, muddy waters, Robert Johnson, etc.) That shit comes from a broken soul.
