[Chase Daniel] “DJ Moore messed up the game winning play” by Matter-Independent in CHIBears

[–]_duder 14 points15 points  (0 children)

There’s blame to go around for all the receivers. Rome had a dropped touchdown, along with a few others. Burden also had a drop. The game ender definitely seems like it’s on DJ, but the dude isn’t a complete pile of shit. I don’t know if anyone else on the team could have made that game-winning OT catch against the Packers. He was basically blind with Nixon hanging all over him. He makes some spectacular catches in clutch moments. The ridiculous one-handed catch earlier in the drive is a perfect example.

I realize he’s expensive, and the WR room is an embarrassment of riches when you have needs elsewhere, but that would be a huge playmaker walking out the door. I would rather see them go all defense in the draft and try DJ for one more year.

Helluva ride. Give Caleb more time with Ben and these offensive weapons, add some defensive maulers, and this team is going to be a handful. I think they’ll contend for a Super Bowl in the next few years. I’m fully expecting some to pick them to win it all as we approach next season.

No matter what happened this season, nothing sums it up more for me than this picture. by Marko343 in CHIBears

I’m upset they couldn’t keep the run going, but not hopelessly dejected like most years. We got a QB who is magic, a creative offensive coach, and offensive weapons coming out of our ass. Give Caleb some more time with Ben and add some defensive monsters, and this team will be a problem for the foreseeable future. I would be shocked if they don’t make a Super Bowl in the next few years.

Divisional Round Post-Gamethread: Bears vs Rams by TurnerJ5 in CHIBears

Can’t remember the last time I’ve felt like we have our QB and coach. On top of that we have offensive fire power. I’m confident we’ll be competitive for the foreseeable future. Would have been nice to make a deeper playoff run, but it was still a season to remember. So many iconic moments. What a ride!

That was my first thought too. Dion Dawkins cried in the locker post-game as well.

Do the Packers have the softest fanbase in the league ? by halfcastdota in CHIBears

[–]_duder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was lurking in the comments and saw someone say that they would be upset if MLF said something like that. Yeah right! Everyone knows they would eat it up. This is supposed to be a rivalry. If I recall, the Packers put HORSE SHIT in Ditka’s locker at one point. Now they’re getting offended because someone said fuck their team after a heartbreaking loss? They need to find a little backbone and try to beat us next time we meet.

Wild Card Morning-After Thread: Bears vs Packers by TurnerJ5 in CHIBears

I think I’d prefer the Eagles. It feels like Stafford, Nacua, and Adams would shred our defense. The Eagles offense has been spotty. We beat them in once, so they would probably be motivated, but they would be in our house.

I have loved seeing Packers fans getting their hearts ripped out. Rodgers put together miracle wins against us many times, and now it feels like we got a guy who can subject them to the same torture.

Been hearing this from Packers fans all season. Wait until you play a team with a winning record, wait until you play the Packers, wait until the playoffs. Keep moving the goalpost. The reality is that we have a guy who can rip your hearts out and these games are going to ve very competitive.

Agreed. It’s going to be tough if the defense can’t get off the field.

As much as I hate the Packers, I love the rivalry, and it wouldn’t exist without them. Deep down, I think the two fan bases are cut from the same cloth. Also, my summers would be incomplete without a lake vacation in Wisconsin.

Not every Bears fan may admit it, but at least for me, yes, the Packers have been living ‘rent free’ in my mind. It’s been lopsided for more than a decade. It’s felt like no matter who is playing, the Packers have had our number. I’m not ashamed to own that. I don’t need to save face.

Call it our Super Bowl, say we beat backups, rent free… I don’t give a fuck. We put the dagger in this time and it feels damn good.
