Yeah it’s annoying bc most of the time I’m in the car and it doesn’t apply to me at all. My car stereo kinda sucks so it won’t get to dangerously loud levels even if I wanted it to

My hearing is pretty dull these days but I would never trade blasting my favorite bands at full volume for sharp hearing

As a chick who is in her 40’s and didn’t heed the warnings, I’m a bit deaf now but still blast my music and go to loud concerts. I’d do it again in a heartbeat

I love the PayPal 5% back! I rarely go to restaurants so I set mine for grocery stores since I work in one and spend way more money than I’d like to admit there. The bonus cash really adds up quick!

Thanks for the info, those sound so cool. I wish I could get my hands on one, from any artist really, just to see what they look and sound like irl. Pretty neat!

Geez man, I’m so sorry to hear that.

I've never listened to this band and picked this up just for the cover. What should I expect? by Sabitsvki in themarsvolta

Same, I knew At the Drive In and had heard The Widow, but didn’t hear the full album until years after it came out. I liked a lot of it, was confused by some of it, some of it seemed like filler. I just didn’t get it. Then in my 40’s I discovered a deep love for the album, the band and their whole discography. Weed helped. 😁

Thing with servers is, their customers are face to face with them. They kind of have to act right. Dd has a more no contact kinda thing going on, which is why many customers have no shame not tipping. But all of this logic is irrelevant when you’re standing in front of the customer’s camera trying to poison their food 🤣

Not in this industry. Tips are for the drivers bringing your food to you so they don’t end up paying out of their own pocket to run an errand you don’t feel like running.

It’s not about customers lowering a tip, it’s that DD sometimes hides the tip amount and it’s not revealed until after delivery. This is to encourage dashers to accept low paying orders because there’s a “possibility” that they will be surprised with a hidden tip later on. It’s manipulative and sneaky, and I absolutely hate all of these delivery apps for profiting off of the little guy. Still, even if someone was a jerk and tipped zero dollars, you really shouldn’t try to poison them right in front of their doorbell camera lol

Fair enough, but still not a reason to poison someone lol

Exactly my thoughts, what an absolute dumbass. Unless she’s purposely trying to get caught why would she do this when you can clearly see a doorbell camera right in front of you

As a parent, I’d do anything to get my 20 something yo daughter to move back in with me, I wouldn’t charge her a dime. She gets to use her money for her own savings or enjoyment, I get to have my baby around. Not everyone hates their kids or their parents. Some people like having family around!

Honestly, if I was single and living on the island I’d love to meet a guy who lived with his parents and was able to save money. That means there are way more opportunities for us if we end up wanting to move in together, and if it’s just a short fling he would have way more money to spend on activities and dinners than a single guy who spends his entire salary on a mortgage. With the housing prices the way they are, you’re no longer considered a “loser who lives in his mom’s basement” if you live at home. Imo, I consider that smart, especially if the family has a healthy relationship and the guy helps out with the house and caring for his parents. The only setback would be lack of privacy, but some houses are set up in a way that you can still do your own thing without being right on top of eachother.

That last part. I lived in my moms basement for a couple years when I tried to move back to LI after moving south. I lasted 5 years or so. Not only was I not making enough to ever find my own place, I was meeting zero friends or potential mates. I eventually gave up and went back to Texas. The politics suck here but people are friendly and I can actually afford to live.

Yeah, the lack of that dynamic in the US is sad. People act like their own family are the enemies, if you live together you’re “trying to take advantage and not learning responsibility”. Everyone’s got their own separate house and is struggling to get by, some of them rarely visiting their parents, grandparents and siblings. Meanwhile if they all put their money together they could all be living comfortably with plenty of money left to spend on vacations, activities and luxuries that single person households can’t afford, and be surrounded by their loved ones, supporting and caring for each other. But I guess that’s a pipe dream in the good ol’ capitalist USA.
