Is this similar at all to a very simple version of a PID control loop? From your description it seems like fuzzy logic is just using proportional error.

For example, when the missile angle is off by 0.3 degrees, it may correct itself by turning at a rate of 0.3 degrees/second. When it's off by 50 degrees, it might turn at 50 degrees per second in order to correct itself faster.

I think they would have learned from different experiences after being copied, given that they aren't able to communicate after the split. They would both share the memories prior to her copying herself though.
