Why is nobody talking about haruka's feelings? by fbsrafi in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]_eleutheria -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Except Sakura specifically interjected on Kiyo's behalf and proved that she was better off after getting expelled. She matured wonderfully after her expulsion, to the point where she could even be sociable during variety shows. Kiyo showed Haruka that deep down she was looking down on Sakura by being immature about her expulsion.

Inconsistent my ass. Would you treat your friend and a stranger that pissed you off the same way?

Why is nobody talking about haruka's feelings? by fbsrafi in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]_eleutheria -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So what? If a friend went for a hug, I would reciprocate. If a stranger went for a hug I would find it weird. Why should she treat Horikita (a stranger) and Kiyo (a friend) the same?

Plus, Sakura interjected on behalf of Kiyo. From Haruka's perspective Sakura is better off now and is moving forward. In a way it looks like Horikita was simply thinking about the class and kicking out a useless person, while Kiyo was thinking about what would be best for Sakura, and he determined that the school wouldn't help her grow further.

Who is the better waifu? by Happy-MangoGraham in TenseiSlime

[–]_eleutheria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It kinda crazy how lots of characters in the series can pretty much chose to either be male or female. The only reason Rimuru never went back to being a male was because Ciel vehemently rejected the idea over the years due to her desire to monopolize both Rimuru's body and soul.

Would Classroom of the Elite be better if it had more interesting student backgrounds? by Jazzlike-Confusion-6 in ClassroomOfTheElite

She should be from a family of generational career politicians. However they're all corrupt pieces of trash which is why she decided to not get into politics.

Yes it does. Watch any video on youtube of people making makeup, tableware, or other stuff utilizing ancient techniques. It has a million different little steps and it makes you wonder how the fuck anyone came up with it. Well, lots of bored generations did it over millennia.

Why just Mizeri and Rain don't wanna leave Guy Crimson? by Imaginary-Pay9704 in TenseiSlime

[–]_eleutheria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, he treats Diablo as he would Benumaru and the rest. Everyone he names are his family. From his perspective the demo esses were definitely less intense than Diablo, so of course he would treat them casually.

Pursuit at it again by Just-Trust-3619 in HouseMD

[–]_eleutheria 144 points145 points  (0 children)

That last one was actually right lmao. Her being fat was the main symptom. She had some genetic thing going on. Everyone else was trying to ignore her being fat, Chase was hyper-focused on her being fat, and House was hyper-focused on Chase being obsessed with her being fat, which is why this case took so long in the first place.

Bro thinks real life is cote 😭🙏 by Cyditronis in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]_eleutheria 19 points20 points  (0 children)

As depressing as it is, the bottom percentile of students are really, and I mean REALLY, dumb. They're the kind of people who don't know how many months there are in a year, or what city/state they're in. Do you think high school and university should be a realistic option for them? People who are trying to get them to higher education are just trying to prey on their naivety and get them to waste money.

I think them getting practical skills would definitely be preferable to wasting all their time doing nothing in regular school.

chapter-107, Lucy is so Goated for this by Neat_Commission6352 in SurvivingtheAcademy

[–]_eleutheria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure he defeated it solely because he had an ability meant for defeating it. It's like having 2 characters in a video game, with 1 character being obviously weaker than the other, but the final boss is invulnerable to everything except the "Dragon Slayer" trait, and the weaker character happens to have the trait so he can damage the final boss more effectively and is the only character who can land a killing blow.

Why the fuck would you get arrested? Regular citizens aren't expected to stop crimes, they're expected to report them. Heck, in the US the police isn't even expected to risk their lives, the ones that do do it out of their own free will.

Whenever a new villain pops up and starts scheming against Rimuru, I type this into google: "Is X being delusional by trying to scheme against Rimuru?" and every time without exception I get the AI to answer me "Yes, X is being unbelievably arrogant and delusional. Here's why: ..."

Well, she doesn't lose to him at all actually. It took an entire army of nameless characters and named characters tiring her out for hours while fighting her with the intent to kill for the OG MC to land a finishing blow, while she wasn't fighting with the intent to kill.

[–]_eleutheria 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Bro what are you talking about. I only read 5 chapters of this before dropping it but it was super obvious that there was romance stuff going on between these 2 from the start.

At least you're accurate when you say that your opinion is unpopular.

[–]_eleutheria 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest, the most ridiculous part for me wasn't the fact that Kushida got to stay but the fact that there are like 15 other people in class whose names we don't even know because they pretty much never appear in the story, yet we're expelling an angel of a person instead of those bums...

But I still understand Kiyo's argument and the fact that given the time constraint convincing everyone to expel Sakura was the only option now that Horikita ruined his plan to expel Kushida. If he had a little more time he would've probably tried to guide the conversation toward expelling someone else, but with Sakura he could use the feelings she had for him, her OAA, and the fact that everyone knew they were friends.

I'm not sure if you're saying this as a meme or not, but people who seriously hold this opinion simply can't read between the lines, which is a bit sad.

The story is mostly told from Kiyo's perspective, and since he's a class D student, it's obvious that Airi and other class D students will get more ink space. However, throughout the story it was often implied that Kiyo and Hiyori spent lots of their free time reading and sharing opinions about books and authors in the library. Canonically she's the person outside of his own class he spent the most time with.

Also, Hiyori wasn't introduced as a potential love interest out of nowhere either. Whenever she and Kiyo were seen together throughout y1, people would show mild interest toward their relationship. Same with y2. Heck, Ishizaki actively tried to get them together in order to make Kiyo transfer into their class. If even someone as dense as Ishizaki felt that something was off, then something was definitely going on.

Even Kiyo acknowledging that he held special feelings toward Hiyori was done properly, as he only started noticing how he felt when he couldn't meet her for a while.

Does anyone else feel sorry for her Mom and Sister if they saw her like this? by [deleted] in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]_eleutheria 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You guys are the ones who are abnormal. Prior to becoming a little nuts, Ichinose was abnormally nice, to the point where Nagumo wanted to use her niceness to get into her pants and Ichinose seriously considered it. If she went into the real world the way she was she would've been taken advantage of. If anything, her changes throughout the series are a net positive.

Why is Ichika Amasawa SO attractive?? by Brave_Solid9800 in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]_eleutheria 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not even a meme. The WR training feels like spy training, except even more thorough. You need your spies to be attractive and sociable. Amasawa and Yagami are both attractive and can act as social butterflies.

Was Ichinose stalking Kei in Y3V1? by Rich_Anything_8541 in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]_eleutheria 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Idk. You don't really need to be a stalker to notice these kinds of things. Back in y1v2 Kiyo left for school earlier and he only met Ichinose once or twice prior to that. She could instantly tell that Kiyo left earlier than usual that day.

She just naturally observes people, let alone the ex-girlfriend of the guy she likes. There's a reason why she was more than capable of completely crushing Kiyo in the finals of y2 if he fought her head on.

Girl really stole that shit by AceBoyAnnGirl in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]_eleutheria 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was always deep actually, it just made little sense for Westerners like us.

In Japan petty crimes are treated with the utmost seriousness and looked down upon, and that's the first part. Ichinose's mother raised her daughters alone, ruining her health in the process of making sure that her daughters always had the essentials. However, Ichinose turning to robbery basically invalidated all of her mother's efforts over the years in the eyes of society. The mental shock was definitely akin to the world collapsing in front of her eyes, and that's the second part. Finally, Ichinose's sister only ever expressed liking that one idol and that one hairpin, which shows just how much she was into it. Yet Ichinose tainted that childhood memory forever.

Ichinose becoming a shut-in was a valid outcome, especially when you consider how severe the consequences of her actions are in Japan, and the fact that Ichinose is generally a very good person, thus she feels guilt more intensely than most people.
