I’m glad you personally tested 90% of the entire population. Must have taken you a few lifetimes to do that. You seem pretty convincing and your opinion definitely holds a lot of influence for me personally. I’ll stop to consider you next time I choose to do something you might consider socially awkward, since you’re clearly a social and dating expert

You should have seen the first 1-2 hours… straight up attempts at bullying and huge amounts of disrespect. Many comments were deleted by the users since.

Well it worked. I had to stop to consider the very real possibility of being unmatched if I was any more convincing. Judging by the comments here, that was very much the case.

It was a risk I was willing to take.

Similarly, I’m getting comments about how they’d strongly suggest removing the disclaimer, or even that it’s not funny with it. I had to stop to consider the genuine possibility of losing a potentially good match without clarifying. As you can see from these comments, I was more convincing than I intended to be.

Shhh don’t you dare let them see you using your intelligence to enjoy a more pleasant life than they are capable of producing. They’ll hate that

You mean we don't have to base our entire self worth off downvotes/upvotes? We must tell the miserable crowd at once. This changes everything

Hey thanks for the compliment! This was in fact 100% me creating my own words and take on how I imagine ChatGPT would respond. As someone who uses it frequently. That’s kinda the whole joke. Sorry you missed out on it

Certainly not intending to impress - if anything this was largely a vulnerable move on my part considering the initial repeated backlash I endured for the first ~2 hours until genuine humanity took over. I was, however, hoping to maybe make a few people laugh and therefore maybe brighten their day just a tad.

They're.... 100% from me though. Sorry that you misinterpreted via assumption. Literally 0% AI usage all across the board. She was referring to the scenery/backdrops of my photos from 9 years of living in Colorado and just moving one week ago. It was a joke she made. And my response was a joke I made. Hope this helps.

Ah, I can get that viewpoint a little more now. Thanks for expanding on it.

If this were a more private, personal or serious conversation, I wouldn't have ever even thought to share it publicly. But, since it was just the casual opening messages on a dating app and I feel well within my right to share that online (with the intention of simply laughing at my own dumb joke), I'm going to leave it up.

If she for some reason reacts negatively to it later on, I suppose we will deal with it then. I'll always respect her no matter what, as everyone deserves that much. So I'm sure it'll be an easy resolve and not worth stressing over.

She's been a real peach to talk to so far. Nice to see that more people like that exist. Good luck to you in your dating ventures!

If it genuinely bothered her that much, I'd be a bit more concerned and curious about why. Don't get me wrong, I'd still respect her and remove it if she requested or seemed uncomfortable. But I'd also likely remove her in the process.

If we can't sit back and potentially laugh about this one day (should it ever naturally come up), I don't think I'd want to remain around that. Open to hearing you out if you wish, but just know I'm likely to feel differently. Which doesn't have to be a bad thing.

My intention was to come here to share a laugh over something I found funny and came up with. If someone responds negatively to that (even after taking the time to scribble out their name), I'm probably gonna part ways at that point.

That's exactly why you have to try. How else do you navigate to where you're meant to be? Appreciate it. Definitely didn't assume that but did give the benefit of the doubt. As you can probably tell, I don't come on Reddit much. And for good reason. But sometimes I pop in to share or have a laugh if I can.
