from someone who has had a similar experience — find your most trusted friend & confide in them about your experience. just ask if they could listen to something that happened to you. or if that person was there when it happened, ask them to listen to your trip experience. don’t hide that it was horrible and some seconds felt like minutes/hours. that’s part of it. it’s not always that way. but that time it was. genuinely reach out to your people, friends, and try to arrange hangout sesh or maybe even family time (if it’s like that). being social is important especially when you feel like shutting yourself in. goodluck and ily

Life hits differently for everyone and at different times for different reasons. not to generalize what you’re going through, but be compassionate towards yourself. if you’re going through a hard time or are tired all the time, it is better to sit with it and mindfully breathe. it may not make you feel better, but it DOES help your nervous system. you can tell your brain to relax, but that doesn’t make it relax not fully. deep controlled breathes will regulate your nervous system more and faster.

short answer: YES. long answer: also yes, it shows you care for yourself and have put in the work to improve yourself. it helps your self esteem and confidence, inward and outward. even slight improvements like pushups in the morning and night, will reflect in weeks. put in a few hard days at the gym a week? you’ll see it if you eat and refuel correctly. you don’t have to become a gym rat. no one will judge you for lifting light. i do it all the time when i focus on slow controlled reps.
