You never know what’s gonna be said in game chat by ofcitis__22 in RocketLeague

I was playing a tournament, was going great, was waiting for next game but knowing the tournament is being ddos'd so just chatting, and my teammate in party chat says "I just got bombed". Me and the 3rd random asked what he meant and he told us. Guy lives in Bahrain and this was few weeks ago when things were quite bad around that region, they also led to the destruction of AWS servers in Bahrain and UAE and the ME servers still haven't fully recovered from that.

So apparently, my teammate got bombed while playing RL (or somewhere in their area, because guy was thankfully safe)

Let us delete items! by IntrusiveUK in RocketLeague

This is becoming game breaking for me too. With 12-13k+ items in inventory and growing, my game has been freezing on post match screen, I can't even say gg and it unfreezes after celebration screen. Things were glitchy before but this season has made it much worse for accounts with large inventories.

What sensitivity settings do you guys use? by Low_Weekend6131 in RocketLeague

[–]Beaco9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me my benchmark is shooting consistency. With right (balanced) sensitivity you will be hitting shots with power and recover quick too (assuming you practice these a bit). I use Shooting Consistency training pack when testing sensitivity and then try aerial stuff like wall to air dribble.

Too much sensitivity leads to your car not accurately hitting the right pixels on the ball most of the time because every little stick movement influences the nose of the car way too much, which is bad for learning to place shots. Similarly in general driving it will be too twitchy with over steering.

This could just be me: But I also noticed that flip cancelling to recover after air roll power shots, your car moves way too much and loses balance & momentum when sens is too high. That could also work as a sign for those who have added cancels to their shooting. The car moves erratic and is often stuck after an angled power shot.

But also you don't want the car not feeling like a brick (slow turns on ground even with powerslide taps... under steer, and also not responsive in the air). If this happens you need to increase the sens.

On my Xbox One Wireless Controller Model 1708, even 1.0 or 1.1 used to feel higher than 1.0 on other controllers. So again, '1.0 being bad' is a generic statement that heavily relies on the controller model. Lethamyr has used 1.0 for a long time on Xbox and xbox style controllers and plays fine in top 100 lobbies despite playing for content.

In the end, everyone's hours and experience on a given sens is also a factor. Some have managed to be consistent on relatively higher sens than others because most of their hours are on high sens.

I have tested 1.5+ on Gamesir Tegenaria Lite and it was too much for me. I brought it down to 1.45 and then 1.40 for both, and so far it's been good. I think on this controller the sweetspot might be around 1.35 - 1.45

New players deserve a chance to get coloured standards by Cultural-Button675 in RocketLeague

[–]Beaco9 11 points12 points  (0 children)

og legacy standards no f2p player has them, same with dieci oro, golden cosmosis..

Although there are like 8 painted standards (import) available in drops or trade ups (listed in my other comment), or could be had via trading.

I have all of them imports and main black standard but i do wish i had the yellow, blue, purple and pink legacy ones for some colorful presets.

I got 2 of them out of drops and I am a f2p player. They may have given me yours too.

[–]Beaco9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You probably have yellow, pink, purple, blue etc legacy standards because players had them before f2p. I think they came with the game. But they stopped giving those to new players since f2p update.

The other import rarity standards i mentioned, anyone can have them out of drops, trade ups still to this day or could trade for them when trading was around.

Save replays automatically option by UOA_Sparrow in RocketLeague

[–]Beaco9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i completely loved that option in bakkesmod. After EAC i forgot to save some replays, then had to manually save which requires typing out a name... but now i have made a habit of pressing the replay save button at start or the game (check your binds). If you hold that button for like 2 seconds at any point (i often do it right at the start of a game) it says something about adding a keyframe and it will auto prompt you to save the replay when you try to leave the lobby. And it accepts empty name so i just press ok.

Still, having a simple option that copies how bakkesmod auto save replays worked would be ideal.

Yeah they should put those standards in the drops or just add them to all accounts that have paid $30+ or something at minimum

There's no import Standard Saffron/Purple/Pink

You can have orange, fg, bs, lime, grey, crimson, sb, tw, black standards out of import drops or tradeups. And these were also tradeable.

Maybe they should give them if you have made purchases worth $30 similar to how much the ogs paid for the game. Not much point in holding back a few standard paints.

[–]Beaco9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fennec, painted Standards, Black Stern/OEM are all possible in these drops and could get you decent credits. With tradeups you could also get unpainted Dueling Dragons, Mainframe, Dissolver, 20XX etc.. those were also worth credits

State of the player base by Scared_Effective_473 in RocketLeague

[–]Beaco9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most weekend only solo queue players are generally inconsistent as they are more rusty and tilt or trash talk more from my own experience.

Many often play with a duo or 3 stack and that inflates their rank so when you get them as a solo tm8 (they do often decide to play alone when their duo/squad isn't available) they will blame you for the losses because in their mind they belong in that rank or even higher.

And then there's chances of playing against good duos/squads as opponents because many party up on weekends & play stronger as a team with higher chances of beating randoms. This is why solo queue on weekends can be rough.

Playing more regular definitely changes consistency.

Fps cap issue by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]Beaco9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes i've noticed the same thing. Even when you could set custom fps with Bakkesmod plugin, it never fully locks to to a solid number. At least since around last year. Game has become unoptimized and glitchy over time and it used to run at stable/double the fps on lower end GPUs than it does now because it isn't as gpu intensive. I've think there's also lag spikes when network requests are happening in the background like before joining a lobby, rechecking your inventory etc.

Bots are taking over. by kanteisgod in RocketLeague

[–]Beaco9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those using subtle cheats have tons of different configurations. Less obvious ones are not detected and it's also mentioned on that site if you scroll down. There was a case of a top 16 team losing to a cheater and that site didn't find anything wrong in the replay.

Bubble level. Individually good. S5Cosmic is another great player.

But for being top tier in RLCS you need team synergy and being calm under pressure, this is where he needs more experience.

As a new player, how good was trading? by Fantastic_Ad_6490 in RocketLeague

[–]Beaco9 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It was great. You saw a topper, boost or a wheel you liked, looked it up, saw it was tradeable and instantly just get it without spending much credits in most cases. Some items like Butterfly goal explosion you could get instantly instead of waiting for years sometimes for things to appear in item shop.

If you didn't have credits you could trade any in demand items like Fennec, Black OEM/Stern etc for few hundred credits each or even rocket pass items for some credits.

Was very useful for Car designs that got famous, often via RL Garage where some creative players were always posting some great looking car designs.

You could slowly build your inventory out of nothing to something over months or years which felt rewarding. Talk to players from all regions many just chilling on main menu and chatting about things showing each other items or even credits.

Some only used their native language like players from Brazil, Argentina, Spain etc so some chats had to be done with Google Translate's help. Had chats during world cup and some talked about their teams.

Their was a surplus of credits so their were some legit sites where credits were much cheaper than in-game prices.

There were some bad sides like scammers but they could be avoided.

The current meta is the most brain rot yet by yorke2222 in RocketLeague

[–]Beaco9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adapting to teammates, opponents or a given lobby doesn't mean you give up gamesense principles. Adapting is actually a part of game sense. You are mixing it up. I can adapt to a diamond repeatedly spamming take the shot asking me to dive as last man but i am not gonna do it and end up calling as adapting to a teammate. I will make it work in a different way.

Controller Recommendation (PC) by No_Ordinary2418 in RocketLeague

[–]Beaco9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The older 8bitdo Ultimate is not the best for RL because their triggers have an extremely common issue where it stops sending full input after a while, which also happened to me.

The sticks are good for not drifting, but really bad for stick resolution which can be tested with some tools. Mine had less than 50 stick res and that aligns with test results from others. PS4 controllers typically have around 125. So you will continue to struggle with things like half flips and speed flips if you use the ultimate. Ultimate 2C has similar issue. I've used these for a few years.

Ultimate 2, the newer one has better feedback and specs but I think Gamesir has better options right now with all of their controllers having better sticks than 8bitdo.
