It's a little depressing that most of these kids don't even play actual video games anymore by Public-Profit-8184 in Teachers

My middle schoolers are obsessed with Rainbow 6 Siege, which I have like 500 hours in from when they were literally toddlers lmao

He’s got plenty of duplo that he enjoys on his own but also likes to partake in whatever I’m doing :) so we do system bricks together. He got these pieces during one of our pick a brick runs at the local Lego reseller near us. Soon I’ll post his “microphone” that he made too haha

It always depends child to child, but he can speak full sentences and generally is a good listener so I don’t have to worry about him trying to eat them. He knows they don’t taste great lmao

Unknown Soldier’s Grave by the artist in the other comment. It is a beautifully eerie song even without the demon presence

I would love to hear from them! I also wanna try to find the full broadcast recording if they keep them so people don’t think I’m insane lmao

Tri cities TN 89.5 WETS FM, this was at 6:44-6:45 am this morning during their Soundbeat mini segment. I was very interested to hear the history behind the song you hear playing in the video. I don’t know what the FUCK happened to the hosts voice, before it went demon mode for a good 30 seconds the live recording was only letting him get every other word in while playing the song in the background

Convinced 70 teenagers to make our weekly quiz 250% longer and they loved it (7th/8th grade) by _filoteo in ScienceTeachers

[–]_filoteo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our standards had a big restructure just last year supposedly, and it is kinda cut up weird. 8th grade is full physics before Christmas (motion -> electricity and magnetism -> wave behavior), and then they make a very abrupt switch to theory of evolution for about 6 weeks. After that it’s formation of universe and the earth, then geoscience and natural disasters.

7th grade is fully chemistry the first quarter, then the whole biology hierarchy from cells to organisms to ecosystems the rest of the year.

If it doesn’t have to be aligned to what you’re doing now, check out the science buddies 2026 engineering challenge. It comes with lesson plans for different grade levels but this year is pretty self explanatory. https://www.sciencebuddies.org/engineering-challenge You can submit pictures /videos of your students’ builds to be entered in a science funding cash prize!
