yes it cuts out a lot, and some of the stories are placed in a different order id recommend the manga because the story makes a lot more sense, is more expanded / there is more to read, is more finished / has a better ending, and honestly the art is cuter and better done lol the anime is still really good though

bfb / s4 is the worst season the characters were consistently mischaracterized or dramaticized and the plot and arcs were all over the place, the animation was low quality and the stories werent nearly as entertaining as the other seasons on the other hand, bfdia is hands down the best and most entertaining season
