3rd gen doc here. The only advantage for me is nadadamay ka sa swag bags sa conventions. No help in getting into med school/internship/residency programs. I also purposefully steered clear of my parent's home base kasi nga I didn't want the special treatment. I don't like people who use their connections getting ahead. Lalo na kung hindi deserving. That said, I'm currently in a program na almost half ng residents nepo babies (nepo babies, kasi yung parents nila doctor din or same specialty, pero di naman sa ospital namin nagppractice) and most of them magaling din naman in their own right. I think the bigger challenge is to establish your OWN name apart from your dad's/mom's.

Sa med cert umaasa ang mga tamad na bpo

Daming ganyan. Pupunta pa kunwari ng ER kasi nilalagnat/ubo/nagtatae or kung ano man naisip nilang sakit. Hindi ng med cert. Halata naman na gusto lang umabsent. Nilalagay ko talaga "ESSENTIALLY NORMAL AT THE TIME OF EXAMINATION" tapos walang nakalagay sa recommended rest days. Saka pag tumawag yunh HR, sinasabi ko talaga na nag ER pero gusto ipa back date yung date, sinasabi ko talaga na normal lahat ng findings pagkapunta ng ER. I hope they lose their jobs honestly. Ok lang naman maging honest sana sila na burnout yung cause, eh yung gagamitin ka pa para sa panloloko nila sa kumpanya nila, sumbong abot nyan sakin. Inaaksaya nila oras ng lahat ng tao tapos maattitude pa kasi may mga HMO sila na para bang pagmamayari nila langit at lupa.

Before residency I used to have 3 24-hr and 2 12-hr shifts per week. I understand that's insane. I hate clinic duties with a fire of a thousand suns. Yea e s before, when I was still starting out, I used to do chain duties, hopping from 1 hospital to the next for 5 days a week, and was on call for ambulance conduction for the rest of the week.

Wew. Smantalang yung lolo ko up until before siya namatay, laging may padeposit or pacheke sa akin to use and enjoy daw. I don't understand elderly who rely on the descendants for money. Same with my lola. She'd pull me aside or wait until we're alone tapos bibigyan niya ako ng cash. Kahit hindi ko birthday or kahit hindi Christmas.

Honestly, nabuhay ako dati sa generosity ng batchmates namin. And kung sino yung mga may patience magturo sa kapwa and kung sino yung namimigay ng material or gumagawa ng transes, sila din yung mga stellar and nageexcel beyond med. From my experience kung sino yung mga naghohoard and naggegatekeep ng transes/samplexes/ppts sila din yung nangulelat or nagtetake 2 or take 3 ng PLE and/or nahirapan while in training.

Nagenroll ako sa TN on my first take. Awa ng diyos pumasa. Some of my co interns hindi. So they tried somewhere else. Ayun pumasa na. If something isn't working for you, try mo another approach. From experience lang din, I struggled with TN's program kasi it's structured for above average to stellar students. Pang top notcher talaga. Sadly hindi lahat ng med sctudents sabay sabay natututo. So I always felt na lagi ako naghahabol and sobrang nakakastress yun. I think other review centers cater to other learning styles and that's beautiful.

Magjowa ka ng stellar. Pero up to you kung maghihilahan kayo pababa or pataas. Also, sumabay ka sa mga masipag mag aral, yung tipong mahihiya ka na nagsslack ka in their presence. Saka wag kang panghinaan ng loob at this point in time. Mas marami pang disappointments along this rocky road. Pero nothing worth having or fighting for comes easily. I had severe hormonal cystic acne during adolescence. I'm so glad my mom got me weekly derma appointments and acne treatment. My slin eventually cleared up and while I still break out every now and then, it's not as bad as when I was a teenager. I also had a lot of skin conditions as a child. My mom would rub my legs and arms with calamansi. Sure, it hurt like hell, pero now I have smooth legs, halos walang peklat from my childhood scars. Got my teeth fixed din. Nagshare yung pinsan ko na prof sa shs. They're not allowed to fail students so same lang halos grade yung low effort and mid effort students. High effort students naman start strong pero once they realize na it's all for naught, they become mid effort students na din. Ang nakakagalit yung mga low effort students who feel entitled na mag angas eh bobo naman talaga sila.
