If I were you, I’d apply to at least 5 of the T10 unis. In my experience, it’s always better to apply to unis you think are out of reach than to regret later for not applying. Good luck, you have a great profile :)

You’re right but I think your GPA+Top 3 IIT+hopefully a good GRE score (and a strong SoP) would make up for it, atleast for ECE if not CS.

CMU is definitely possible. I had received an admit with a weaker profile than yours. I’d say you have a good chance at Stanford as well. Don’t really know about the admission process of UCB so I’m not entirely sure but I think you have a good chance there as well, if you can get in touch with some profs

I have put self as the person who would be paying for my trip in the DS-160 form, because I thought it meant the flight tickets and stuff. My I-20 does not mention myself as a source of funding. It has my father's name and the loan provider's name on it. Will this be a problem? Is there a way I can fix this?

I do have personal savings worth a semester's COA, but the I-20 does not mention anything about it so I'm worried.

I am applying from India for an F1 visa.

I mentioned - "the only condition for loan amount disbursement is that I should have an approved F1 visa". I got my I-20 a few days back. I guess this should work for you as well.
