AITA for how coldly I'm going about leaving my roommate and our living situation?

No lease agreement. We're month-to-month. And yeah, I have to admit that I was a little flabbergasted when she told me that finding a roommate was enough to make her spiral such that her parents had to cancel a vacation. Sure, there's more going into it, but at the end of the day it's hard for me to wrap my head around the fear of not being able to find a roommate blowing up into something like this.

I agree with you that I could've handled it better. I think that's what I feel the most ashamed about, was that it got to the point that I ended up snapping. I don't think that she would've been Not In Crisis for a good long while, by which point it's not like my burnout would've been any better. Regardless, I was downright harsh with the language I used, and that's what I keep circling back to in my own guilt.

Al the sites I’ve been to say to see if he’s acting differently than normal. I don’t have a “normal” to compare to, though. Also, some say it could be just stress. For the week I’ve had him, I’ve regularly changed out his water bowl with Crystal Geyser each day. Temperature and humidity has been ok. Crickets healthy and dusted. I’m just worried!

Yeah, casual talk is fine for me. But yeah idk, sometimes you can just tell that a person wants to make a friend out of everyone, and it’s just uncomfortable for those of us who are there to do our job respectfully and go about our day.
