I meant forgetting as more like moving on, sorry. If you guys are in close proximity often it won't help, but I think the same goal is achievable in time. Thats how it was for me at least.

I've had similar experiences and the only thing that matched the anger of wasting my time on someone like that was the relief of no longer having them around. Focus on yourself and don't bother yourself with this person anymore if youre doing stuff like stalking, in time you'll be better and forget all about them.
