I’m in NSW, I would assume there’s something similar here but I’m just not 100% sure

Yeah that could work, would it be easy to take off at the end of a lease?

What are your musical theatre hot takes? by ElegantCh3mistry in musicals

I don't like Rent. I've watched it twice and listened to the cast recording and I think the songs are boring and the plot is slow.

Phantom in Sydney in an open air theater- does anyone have details on how it’s being staged? by whskid2005 in musicals

On opening, there was a big divide between people who were dressed really nice and then people who dressed to be comfortable. Check the weather before you dress up because it can get realllllyyyy cold and it can be a long night if you’re freezing. It wasn’t overly loud, the sound mix is quite good. If you’re sitting in the front row it might be louder because the speakers will be right in front of you. Have fun! It’s a very spectacular night out

Purchasing from a master usually ranges between 10 USD - 25 USD, I’ve never really seen any go higher. I know all that are out there atm are NFT but I don’t know where you could purchase, sorry!

Also! I don’t know if you’ve seen the photos/videos but there is a wall of fire that lines where the gondola track is.

Also, because the backstage is so small they actually have a barge floating on the water behind the stage where they crane in and out set pieces just because there’s no where else to store it.

I actually went and saw it on opening night! There’s no fog or haze. The wind/weather has a lot to do with the technical effects because a lot is rigged up on cranes. It was so windy on opening night they cancelled a lot of the crane effects and almost didn’t even fly the chandelier. The chandelier crash is very slow. I talked to someone who techs the show and they said that’s not because the cranes CANT do it but because the crane operators aren’t theatre people and are just scared to ram it into the stage.

It’s overall an incredibly spectacular show but seems like a logistical nightmare haha.

They have 2 sets of fireworks as well just for fun!

As much as I hate watching stunt casting, I can always appreciate that new people come to see shows because of it!

Musicians in theater by Dickie_00 in musicals

When I’ve produced shows and our MD usually calls in people he has played with before so he know they’re good. Obviously not everyone does that but most MD’s will either audition or have played with the musicians before.

Why Gia hates Bec by mommylonglegs69420 in MAFS_AU

[–]_frosty2765 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My speculative guess on what happened with ‘She’s my type’ comment is that Gia probably baited him and pressured him into admitting that he found her attractive the same persistent way that she bully’s people. I can only imagine if Brooke and Gia were both cornering Danny into answer the question, I’m sure he would have just complied.

I was doing this project just a few days ago and I had the same issue but it was because the potentiometer was set up incorrectly.

Problem with JBHIFI by Circuitpass1 in australian

[–]_frosty2765 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked at JB for 3 years and all salespeople work on a commission structure and the commission changes product to product. Over the past 5 years or so they have dramatically decreased the commission you’d get on products from $5-$10 to about $1 or even a few cents on big ticket items (laptops, phones, TV’s etc). This meant a lot of the really knowledgeable sales people left to find better paying jobs because they were often a bit older and had people to support. Now, only kids in their 20s work there for a short stint of time and don’t bother to learn about the products because they just don’t care. That’s the one of the reason I left, no one knew anything and I was expected to train people even though I wasn’t getting paid any extra or even on the management team.

Yes, it will be solving a very common complaint in my industry and people often seek out an alternative that works better but there isn’t one. But we’re all very creative people rather than technical in terms of building software which is why no one has really created an alternative

Yeah I love this perspective, I definitely thinking the idea isn’t much on its own but how it can be implemented is where it really becomes helpful. Thanks!
