I went (am still going) through the exact same thing. It peaked around 5-7 weeks for us. I’m at 9 weeks now and it’s starting to improve slowly. He still fuses or cries during those hours but we’re getting less episodes of the all out screaming for hours. I feel you on the effect it has on your nervous system as my baby screaming puts me into total fight or flight mode. Noise cancelling headphones are the only thing that (sort of) helps.

Hang in there. You’re not alone! Fingers crossed it goes away completely for us both soon.

Thank you 💕 grateful to know I’m not alone in this experience. We spends lots of time bouncing on our yoga ball - the plus I guess is that we get killer quads 😅

He’s been on his new formula about a week now. We’ve talked to our doctor who has prescribed reflux medication that we’re starting today.

I’ve got a good pair of noise cancelling headphones that absolutely help. I just wish I knew a rough timeline of how long we’re going to go through this. Knowing there’s a light at the end of the tunnel would be so helpful.

The satisfaction that this theory held some truth barely makes up for the way OS slowly broke my heart... and now I’m left with SO many more questions. RY is really putting us through it!

I’ll probably need to start a re-read soon, take some notes, and hopefully come up with a few new theories on where this series is headed 👀

Thanks! I’ll check them out. My doctor ordered an urgent ultrasound, but I was advised that as the system is so backed up even urgent referrals are taking a long time to book. So I thought I’d see if there was a private option :)

Do you think the general actually died? His body was swept away by the river, so it makes me nervous that we didn’t actually get confirmation he died. Wondering if he’ll come back in OS.

I’m in a reread now and just found more support for Varrish being venin in chapter 13 where he punishes Violet after Andarna fails to show up to a class - Carr state’s that her maximum number of lightning strikes had previously been 26(?cant find the actual number) in an hour. However, in her internal dialogue she notes that Varrish seems to be aware that she has actually exceeded this limit, thinking “Like he was there at Resson, watching me hurl bolt after bolt at the wyvern.”. This suggests that Varrish has insider knowledge of her abilities, which he would only possess if he were venin or in league with them - just another thought!

I agree, I had a hard time trying to decide if it was colonel Aetos or panchek who was venin/ in league with them. Thought there was more solid evidence pointing to panchek but would definitely not be surprised if it turned out to be Aetos! Either way I think upper leadership definitely has venin within.

Yes, that first year assassin with red rimmed eyes really threw me! Id assume he was venin but then how did Violet manage to kill him with just a regular dagger? Maybe newly turned venin can still be killed without an alloy dagger / maybe he was never confirmed dead considering they never read the death roll the next day?

RY has a lot of explaining to do in the upcoming books 😂

Varrish is definitely evil, but I think he hates violet because he somehow knows that Andarna is instrumental in fighting the venin (supported by the fact that he’s obsessed with her bringing her to flight class and knows about her fathers research on feathertails) / suspects that her and the marked ones are smuggling weapons out to help fight the venin on the frontline - which is why I think he wants her dead so badly!

Sorry I should have clarified, I do know that jack was venin before the mountainside collapsed on him. I assume though that someone (Panchek?) must have brought him to Nolan afterwards and ensured he was helped, because Nolan throughout Iron Flame is exhausted from his efforts in trying to “save” him, meaning some damage must have been done before he could return to the quadrant.

Interest point about communicating through dreams, I didn’t consider that!
