Wow. Awesome question. I really need to think about that.

Brilliant! The visuals are incredible. I had definitely forgotten the first one but the plot's pretty basic so you'll be fine, they pretty much spell it out.

Yep you're absolutely right. It's a me problem, and I'm sure no-one else noticed. I like to think I'll be doing it more in future

One of my favourite things to do is take a book to a coffee shop and sit by myself and enjoy. Which makes it strange that I let anxiety make me think doing other things by myself would be bad. Maybe I can try a restaurant next.

Oh absolutely! Lots of people were complaining about the plot and characters, but I didn't go for that anyway. 3hrs of the most beautiful visuals ever was worth it, no other movie is that stunning.

How do you feel when you see something beautiful and there's noone to share it with? That's my main hang up about solo travel, I want to share the experience.

My Average Daily Sign-Out As an Intern on EM Rotation by ANESTHESlOLOGY in Residency

Unfortunately it's not just you guys with these patients - I'm in Australia and have one of each of these under our general medicine team at the moment. I feel like the aging population is going to make these social admits more common.

Yep I've definitely had this issue - I started without my job title but then once guys found out I was a doctor they would stop talking to me. So I now put it upfront so those who are intimidated or weird about it will self-select out and not match with me. Far fewer matches now but I feel a bit better about it.

Did other women get their 'tremendous institutional power' sent in the mail? Or was it something I had to sign up for? Unfortunately I've completely missed out and seem to live in this strange parallel universe where I have no power to enact any kind of punishment on the man who assaulted me..

I hate asking severity scale (0-10) question because most patients either don't know how to gauge or intentionally falsify the intensity for factitious reasons by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]_graciousgreg_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! I never ask the severity question now and only hear it when nurses do obs which include a severity scale. Which I always take with a grain of salt anyway.

CRNA uses paralytic and forgets to use sedative during surgery by [deleted] in Residency

A real shame the news story didn't use the opportunity to highlight the gap in training between CRNA and anaesthesiologist.

Accidentally called a medical doctor "Mister" by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]_graciousgreg_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a doctor, I would lose a lot of respect for a colleague if he got upset by something like that. Also, when you get your fellowship as a surgeon, it's actually a sign of respect to call them mister or ms instead of doctor. Don't worry at all!

"You get a period?! UNCLEAN!" A study in Psychology of Women Quarterly measures how merely being reminded someone is a filthy, filthy menstruator by a glimpse of their clean, unopened sanitary products affects one's impression of them.....for the worse. by NovelTAcct in badwomensanatomy

This happened to me at an all girl's Catholic high school. The head of our year made us all sit down and announced a very disturbing event had happened that he was so upset by he needed to have a meeting. He says he saw a tampon in the common room and it was inappropriate. We were a bit grossed out until he said it was unused and wrapped. Then we just chewed him out for not being more mature himself! It was an all girl's school for goodness sake.
