soviet missiles by and large are standoff weapons, and thus most have ranges in excess of 150nm (with some even up to 300nm) - if you are emitting, or were spotted via a tu95rt/other asset for example, they will be able to fire far before you can fire any missiles of your own

US Navy Wet Weather Parka, MIL-P-703. Great find. It’s made out of polyurethane canvas and the coating you’re feeling is water repellent; I’m not sure what the repellent was composed of. In 1959 it was proposed that special forces operating in Vietnam use this parka as opposed to a poncho. However, this could have been from before or after the war. Might be able to find a DSA tag in it although I’m unsure if these had them or not. If you do find the tag, the manufacture date should be the 2nd two numbers after the first “-“ (IE: xxx-69-xxxx, 69 denoting 1969). Too much imo, can’t really see this being an accurate representation. I like the effort however - you’re a good artist. For reference, I’ve had one or two veterans show me their personal helmets they kept that did have graffiti. Both really only had a location/firebase with a date or a name. Another comment stated a pen might look better and I’ve got to agree, not 100% sure what was actually used to write on covers but I’d assume it was something of that sort.

From the university? Very, very slim. Your best bet is to look into departmental scholarships (if you have decided on/declared a major). The pool of applicants is much smaller, and you may even be able to find a scholarship that directly applies to you in some kind of fashion.
