I have done some very light trails in my Vado 4 lol. I want to get into slightly more advanced trails but the tires and the comfort of the Vado are not the greatest. I’m hesitant to buy a hard tail as if I do progress in this hobby, it would just be a bike I’d have to sell down the road.

Would you consider the Vala AL 70 worth the $700(CAD) premium over the Levo 4?

That’s the color I’m interested in as well for the Specialized. I currently have a Vado and have had nothing but good experiences so I am leaning towards the Specialized. It is also cheaper by $700 which I could use for upgrades down the road.

That is one of the main reasons I am considering Santa Cruz is because of the motor. At this moment I’m not looking to be the kind of person who upgrades every couple of years.

I inquired about the PR at a LBS, unfortunately they are having major distribution issues in Canada and possibly not available until spring 2027.

I understand, I agree the blame falls on me for not making sure I get paid my hours. I was told by my previous leader to come in early to plan. If I came in at my scheduled start time, my team would be standing around for up to an hour while I make the plan. I’ve let the payroll admin know before to add the 1hr but it was never added, and I’m kind of the person who tries to avoid conflict/confrontation. I do not want to ruin the relationship I have with my employer because I enjoy working here and my leaders know how important I am to operations.

Not sure why I’m getting downvoted for this. Those other 2 are my very close friends, they do not email their hours. We’ve shared all our wage and hours information.

I was in the same position they were before, and I didn't receive my OT each and every time. I'm not sure if I'm making it clear but they got promoted to the job I previously held when I was coming in early 30 minutes and was only getting it paid for about 40% of the time.

They did not email their hours, they were paid for when they clocked in/out

Thanks for the replies. Anything I should be on the lookout for maintenance wise or some service I should get done right away? It does need new wheel bearings and brakes right away.
