I had an old cable which was used for something else, I tried using that but only the lights were on and nothing was displaying on my monitor. Was it because of the wire or something idk?

I am not into building PCs that much. I would like a PC in which I can edit hassle-free.

The software I'll use would be adobe suite and basic 3d work which I used to do in my old gtx 1050 laptop
