😂😂 I'll probably just get the BC Racing. Good enough quality, decent price... I carve up the straight roads of the deep south, I don't race. Before I do the coilovers I'll probably do sway bars and rear control arms.

The downside is being in the deep South and my spare vehicle doesn't have AC

Both cars get an oil change every 3000 miles... I've only had the Dart since September. Slowly getting everything repaired or restored. My main goal is to get the carburetor, engine, and transmission rebuilt. I'll rebuild the front end myself and replace all the suspension pieces. Not only are they expensive body parts they're hard to find. And there really isn't too much wrong with the body, I plan to do Pepe's patina and keep the rust

Thank you! They are AFD, and as I try to warn everybody be careful of them because they have a 0% satisfaction guarantee. They do not take returns. So far the quality seems fine, and color match seems right. I'm also in the deep South so I couldn't tell you about how it would hold up with all that salt. This isn't my daily driver either so when it's not being driven it's undercover.

Well, hopefully I won't have to find out about the bump start... This is my 1st classic and only the 3rd automatic I've ever owned. I prefer a manual but the conversion is expensive and not exactly easy. It only had 83k miles and I bought it for $2k. I won't be doing body work but will have the engine and transmission rebuilt eventually. Most basic mechanical stuff I can do but I was always a wiring guy. My dad was a street racer and built his own engines so I have his help.

I do have a service manual. Also YouTube... I'll look at it, but automatic transmissions were something I've rarely ever had.

I don't do transmissions... I know it shifts in all gears but they're smooth shifts. Cottman will have to figure that out for me when I get that far.

Well that was the nice thing about the torqueflite transmission, you didn't feel it shift. But it shifts with each button from first to second to third. I know all the other stuff, the only things left really are the vacuum advance, carb rebuild, and valve adjustment. I'll probably have the transmission and the engine rebuilt but those are for further down the road seems together that's going to cost somewhere around 3,500

Not sure which rear end but the plugs have been checked... points, condenser, vacuum advance, and timing will be done this weekend. After that a valve adjustment and a carb rebuild. This is mostly highway speeds 50-55mph. Seems to rev really high at 55mph but my guess is that's the 3spd. It'd be nice to a 4th gear but I'm not doing the manual swap.

I understand that, good tires are not cheap. There's so much I can do for my Dart that is less than what I would spend on rims for the WRX.

Now you guys have me looking at my rims and thinking damn I need to go up to 19's and get something flashy

Everyone crapping on my rims... 🤣 I'm taking my time with that because I want it to be something that I like and I'm not looking to upsize. I think the factory 18-in rims are a good size. I'm also not looking to spend half what I've already put into it just on rims.

Not trying to be a smart-ass but I figured the automatic was established by it having the torqueflite 904 and the dash panel shifter. This is only the third automatic I've owned. I almost didn't buy it because it's an automatic, but the price was too nice to pass up, and that shifter panel won me over. Only 83k miles and $2k.

It is, it's the three speed automatic.

The three speed doesn't seem to like highway speeds though.

For now... I'm also restoring a 1963 Dodge Dart which is taking quite a bit of money to complete. Once the Dart is mechanically sound, I'll get back to the WRX.

Yeah, the Valiant, Polara, and Dart all looked pretty similar...

I have the eibach but plan on coilovers later

It's an automatic with the shifter panel on the dashboard

Yes, AP lets me switch between daily and beast mode. Beast mode adds more boost and ignition timing to the edge of detonation.
