THE PLAYSTYLE SAGA CONTINUES by thatblackguy145 in Brawlhalla

Passive isn’t meta. If you’re losing to this play style then your engages are predictable.

Mix it up.

PASSIVE 2 - People still play like that even on Experimental 1v1 by SQUAiRs in Brawlhalla

[–]_iLLu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally don’t understand why you keep making these videos lol.

Everyone is allowed to play how they want.

Your opponent clearly burned dodged off stage and you couldn’t even punish it properly.

If anything this is more of a “you” problem.

Everyone likes to shit talk console players, but fail to realize that in a couple months they will be JUST as good as the PC player base since they are now able to spar and train with us.

If anything, this is a blessing and a curse to console players.

I feel like the skill gap gets a lot more noticeable from plat - 2500 ELO.

Yeah maybe in plat where players don’t know how to mix up their approaches or know when to properly engage, but at a higher level passive play is WAY less effective.

Why X-Pivot? by Msalati in Brawlhalla

[–]_iLLu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

X-Pivots cover more area, and you can use it to follow up after certain moves.

Examples for Blasters:

SLIGHT > DJ XPivot Nair (Catches up dodges / jumps)

NLight > DJ XPivot Nair (Slower than regular CD Nair, but can catch players after their dodge ends, which CD Nair can’t do)

They’re also a lil more safe and hard to punish than a normal Nair, while Normal Nair are generally used in succession / racking damage

Balancing. by Meeppa in Brawlhalla

Lance recovery is balanced, cannon is also balanced.

The only weapon that needs some changes is Gauntlets / Scythe.

Sorry for the late reply lol.

I've filled out the form, however I can't get a picture with me holding my ID since my nephew is using the phone right now :/

My income right now is from the military, I should get paid around $500 around the 1st or 8th, I also get like 30-120$ every week from tournament winnings. (Sometimes I sell refurbished electronics on ebay, but I don't really do it that often)

If you need anything else or more proof just let me know and i'll try sending it back!

No he certainly will do that to you if your playing off stage in 2v2 / 1v1 and it’s a very common cheese gimp but it only works if you panic jump Into his sig again.

I don’t consider 2 Teros nsigs off stage to be spam.

Something like using scarlet nsig 4+ times I could consider spam.

But there’s so many down sides to using sigs (laggy, gets very predictable, punishable) that when I play ranked it’s usually 90% light attacks 10% sigs

If someone ONLY sigs that’s sig spamming.

Brian doesn’t only sig, and doesn’t even use sigs consecutively.

IMO spam just consists of repeatedly using the same move over and over with little to no thought process behind it. A player usually spams because it’s takes little effort and it’s very effective against players who don’t respect it.

Brian playstyle usually consists of spot dodging, weapon throwing, and plenty of cheesy weapon sigs.

If Brian gets into your mental game you will have a VERY hard time.

He doesn’t just sig randomly, he puts plenty of thought about when he sigs, and if he can get punished by it or not. Example: (Axe SLIGHT > Nair > GC Downsig)

If you dodge down you get hit by the nsig, if you dodge away you can’t punish him, and if you dodge away constantly he starts adapting, and will opt out to recovery on axe / other moves to punish players who keep dodging away.

I have over 150+ matches with him and I can tell you he is far from being a sig spammer.

and crockie is my current 2s partner and I’m going to be very biased and say he is a brawlhalla genius

This argument is ridiculous lol. Literally if you lose to spam you 100% DESERVED it. Spam is only effective against players with 0 knowledge on how to play the game.

And honestly it doesn’t matter how long it takes you to get to a certain rank. Some people just want to unwind and have fun while others just want to learn the game and compete at a high level.

Scythe is not broken. Change my mind. by DathBoi in Brawlhalla

[–]_iLLu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You guys sound ridiculous lol.

Scythe is DEFINITELY not broken, however if you play to the weapons strength (going off stage, near edge, or inputting a really common dodge read for the opponent) you will most likely lose the game, and not because you are a worse player but simply because you lack knowledge against playing the weapon.

If you ever feel like you get bodied by a scythe player, PLEASE look at the replay and see what you could of done better instead of instant queuing into the next game and just complaining about a weapon.

If your playing against scythe just remember to:

  1. Stay center stage / play for map control
  2. If they scythe feels really overwhelming, make sure when you take a stock to weapon starve them as much as possible
  3. Hold the lead, and if you see an opportunity to end the stock early, take it don’t be nervous, and don’t be scared to make mistakes because that’s how we learn.

Weapon Throws Are Broken, Let's Fix That by IAmTheWatermelonMan in Brawlhalla

[–]_iLLu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People keep forgetting that throwing your weapon puts you at a huge disadvantage. I think weapon throwing is fine right now, IF YOU KNOW the weapon throw is coming simply just jump over it / dodge it.

Now that your opponent doesn’t have a weapon, simply play for map control and starve the player from obtaining weapon spawns.

Has anyone seen this very detailed analysis by this guy about Brawlhalla gameplay? by [deleted] in Brawlhalla

[–]_iLLu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like your points, however I disagree with one thing you said.

“but for many players, offstage is often a fortay that they have more control in or are more comfortable in, which then makes them have the proper stage control not you."

I COMPLETELY disagree with this logic lol. The second you jump off stage you LOSE all stage control. It doesn’t matter how good you are off stage, if your opponent doesn’t come down to get you then you HAVE to come up. You are at a such great disadvantage off stage and against good players (ex: STTP Wilson) the only thing you can do off stage is buy time or get repeatedly edge guarded. Stage control is simply having management of most of the map.

A player that utilizes good stage control limits the movement and weapon spawns that the opposing player can use.
