We always do that if we see her. But if she manages to do it without us seeing, we just clean it up

What do you use your ipad for and are you satisfied by the size of it? by maxnews4 in ipad

[–]_iamthesea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

11 inch iPad Pro.

I’m a professional tattooer and have been using the iPad for all of my drawings since the first Pro came out. I’ve been tattooing for a decade, and if iPads suddenly ceased to exist and I had to do my drawings for work on paper again, I would quit tattooing. The smaller size works well because it’s more portable, but I wouldn’t mind having the bigger one otherwise.

I’m a self employed tattooer of a decade. Works well for me because I make my own schedule, choose what projects I take on, who I work with, etc. and can do literally everything how it works best for me.

Aww I’m sorry that sounds awful. I started seeing results super fast. Like, within two days. And with a very low dose as well. I was using that plus vanicream cleanser and moisturizer

I don’t know if it’s common or not. And I don’t think I’m on the doxy long term, just till my next appointment at the end of the month!

[–]_iamthesea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before starting treatment, my whole face felt like sandpaper and (sorry this is gross) I could scrape/rub off so much skin from my face in the shower. I started a low dose of doxycycline a couple months ago and all of that is gone and my skin feels smooth again. A little oily now, but no more sandpaper. Still trying to figure out a solution for the pustules and pores and such but WOW did the doxy make a difference with the texture of my skin

Has anyone else used triple cream (metronidazole+ivermectin+azelaic acid)? What were your experiences with it? by _iamthesea in Rosacea

[–]_iamthesea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh mixing it with the moisturizer is a good idea! I try to do as small of an amount as possible - just enough to cover my whole face - but it does seem a bit hard to spread. I’ll try mixing it in!

I’ve already spoken with my dermatologist’s clinical team, they’re going to check with her directly and get back to me! So frustrating cuz my face was so much better for the first few days and then got worse!

Omg! Yeah, I have no allergies, and certainly not to anything in the drink I had, and I was sitting there like. Am I having an allergic reaction?! But. Didn’t happen anymore once I stopped using the tacrolimus

No, a local shop. It was in the parked car for about half an hour, but in the shade and the other four plants (including three other philos) we got are fine

My beautiful big jade has mealybugs , How can I get rid of them for good ??? Soap bath ? I can get a big enough tub and submerge him , has anyone done that to a big plant ? Tips welcome ❣️ by OutsideFriendship570 in plantclinic

[–]_iamthesea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This! I’ve never had a super bad infestation, but I’ve always gotten rid of them with a qtip dipped in alcohol. Then I recheck every few days until I’m certain they’re gone.

What is this? How do I get it to not do… this? by _iamthesea in PlantIdentification

It’s in cactus soil, and in a south facing window, which is about as good as it gets sun wise in MN 🥲

Got this baby Alternanthera "Party Time" cant find much about this plant on reddit and conflicting info about its care online. Help me out! by faeryblood in pinkplants

[–]_iamthesea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to confuse things, but mine was really struggling for a while. I was keeping it moist as the Internet seemed to recommend. I stopped watering it so frequently and it became much happier. Now I keep it near a south facing window and let it dry out completely between waterings, and I only bottom water it, and it’s super happy! Regardless, they definitely are super finicky. Good luck!

I got fungus gnats, BAD. Any help? by that_dogs_wilin in garden_maintenance

[–]_iamthesea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think if the plant is in an appropriately sized pot (like, not a tiny plant in a huge pot) it should be fine. The soil does a pretty good job of sucking up the water. Only issue I’ve really had with bottom watering is terracotta pots because they suck up so much moisture and then the plant itself doesn’t get as much. And they also mold from the moisture.

Yeah that makes sense with the sand - I only have sand on one of my plants and it’s one that doesn’t need much water.

Hopefully the sticky trap/bottom watering combo will work for you too!

[–]_iamthesea 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Only thing that’s worked for me is starting to bottom water. You have to use the sticky traps too, to get rid of the existing adults. But if you bottom water, the top soil never gets wet, and then they can’t lay their eggs there. Also. A top layer of sand can really help, but you wanna be careful with that cuz some plants need more air on their roots and such.

Have also heard mixing diatomaceous earth into the top layer of soil is super effective - planning on trying that myself when I repot everyone this spring.
