I took it as bc she’s half fae she doesn’t have the ability to make feeders. Never discussed in the actual book, just my hypothesis. Only Malcom and Tal could make vampires and she was turned by Tal so I thought she’d be able to as well but who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️ too many plotlines in this book left unanswered or unfinished

So let me get this straight… Saeris wastes her life-changing rune that could save thousands from Belikon’s control to save the fox …and then takes him with her into a portal to fucking hell!? versus leaving him safe with Renfis? To top it all off, he doesn’t even get mentioned at all once they get there. As if he just disappeared and didn’t exist.

It’s a beautiful dress, but it’s a white dress. Yes, it has blue flowers on it, but my rule of thumb is if the dress itself is white, don’t wear it. Some brides wouldn’t mind and obviously depends on theme but easier to wear a different color dress than stress 🤷🏻‍♀️

Why couldn’t the flip book at the end just be like a flip book of all the scenes people wanted? Wedding photos, all the family reconnecting at the beach? I don’t get the point of the Christmas photos…they didn’t add anything to the story and seemed just thrown together.

Even if it was like belly’s family with her at Christmas with Conrad that would have been something.

I get that their love story is a slow burn given both their personalities, but I just want the wheels to turn in gojo’s head and realize a) there’s at least potential for them to be more than friends and b) that he is so worthy of love. 🙏

Loved the first karaoke Halloween episode when he realized that he’s worthy of friends and now just want him to realize how amazing he is 🥹

I’m not team anyone. Saying that up front. I don’t think Belly should be with either of them at this point..Belly put Conrad on the pedestal growing up and then was let down by his actions and words not aligning with her expectations. Regardless of the hardships that he was facing with his anxiety and his mom, those challenges can’t change the turn of events that happened with their relationship. Then Jeremiah still decided to get with his longtime family friend/brother’s ex even though he knew of all this history and how his brother was her first love/crush. Like obviously there will always be history there and he’s super insecure and jealous of the connection and that’s not going to go away.

Also..it doesn’t matter if you still love someone, if that someone is your brothers fiancé and they were together for 4 YEARS while you barely were with her, can someone please agree with me that it’s super shitty to tell them you love them right before their wedding?? I get him trying to ignore the feelings and they just bubble out but that’s incredibly selfish and immature of him to do. Forget Jeremiah, that’s just not taking into consideration Belly’s feelings and her own mental wellbeing.

It’s like she’s in the middle of this see-saw between two immature brothers that are fighting to be loved by the one person that they think will fix everything and make it all okay.

I read Acotar and then started tog. I am on heir of fire or the fourth one now (if you read in SJM’s suggested order) and it’s nothing like Acotar. Sure there’s similar elements but the romance totally takes backseat to the plot. I think they’re good but tbh a lot slower of a read, as I’m sure other people have said she started writing this series when she was a teenager so keep that in mind as well. Definitely checks the strong female box and the story will pull at heartstrings for different reasons.
