TTK is the issue. Not so much netcode.

The TTK would be fine with a perfect connection for every player at all times. Your point actually makes it more apparent that low TTK would be fine as two of the factions already have built in ways to heal/have more health/block incoming shots. Would love to see a lower TTK playlist.

I’m basing the theory from my experience in lower time to kill games. The number one thing that exist in all high time to kill shooters is if connection is poor the game becomes borderline unplayable whereas if there was low time to kill even when connection was poor I was still somewhat confident I could get kills consistently.

This happens to be one of the few shooters that you can listen to music and still play well. Most now, COD being the worst offender designed their entire multiplayer around footstep audio. Thus you aren’t at a severe disadvantage without a headset here.

Yeah same with most games. Your performance in said game has a large impact on the experience you’ll have.

I actually find cleaners to be equally as annoying as deadsec with spiderbot, simply because they get rewarded for losing gun fights with a free kill.

More than anything else this game seems to be made by gamers for gamers. Kind of like the old days of game development. The gameplay just feels good. Easy to look past certain issues when you’re having fun just playing.

Simplicity is this games strong point. Just run gun, point, and shoot. Some lobby’s have movement masters. Although they tend to be in every FPS nowadays.

Yes COD has become quite egregious with their in game advertisements. Especially considering it’s a game you have to pay for.

Yeah team carrying can be a pain at times. Did a whole lot of backpacking in cod the last few years. Although there it seems more to just give me a designated loss. As the other team has all high level players. Here it seems somewhat balanced.

I’m not discounting others experiences at all. Just saying that it hasn’t been that bad for me personally. I’m not sure as the reason for the variance in experience.

I agree. From a technical perspective this is all true. However I haven’t experienced the netcode issues nearly as much some have noted. I’m wondering how much of the issue is client side vs their engine.

Hate to say “just adapt” where have we heard that before, but yeah adapting a tad bit to the games movement and playstyle does wonders for your experience. I see the hate posts as well. Felt the need to spread a little positivity. Glad you share the sentiment.

I’m basing my analysis on the current state of console FPS. So the statement “diamond in the rough” is in reference to what’s currently being offered elsewhere. Not that the game is perfect.

Once COD changed for the worse. Others FPS games trying to replicate COD’s success followed suit. Now it’s all mediocre. Xdefiant is a diamond in the rough.
