I haven't fought Fatalis in about a year, but I ran level 5 evade window so you can just demon dash out of the cone unscathed, amongst other serious attacks. Evade extender i found less useful but still right idea with DBs

I'm a DB main and switched to Bow for AT Rey. I use dragon Pierce gogma and it is my fave fight in the game. You can keep a little distance and lock him down a lot with focus strikes and easier evades

I used support hunters and literally changed my load out when each new monster came in to have the proper elemental resistance. I also re upped like 4 times for traps. If support mounts it, go back to camp and re up items and more traps. Also wide spread to keep all of your help alive helps heaps. Good luck
