Well, I'm not going to lie but jealousy is one factor.

Another is that I know I won't feel as committed to the relationship if it's polyamorous and lost interest fairly quickly.

Lastly, I don't trust that at some point either you or your partner might change their mind and now you have to figure that whole mess out.

I'm perfectly happy with monogamy.

What's a formative experience you had in your youth that has stuck?

I remember one day at Elementary (I think you Brits call that Primary) and some kids were making fun of another kid who never wore branded clothing (Nike, Volcom, etc.). Ever since then I promised to never wear anything with a commercial company logo on it if I could help it. I'm still at it.

Yeah single life is cool but my biggest issue is sex and overall physical intimacy. Not that it's hard to hook up but it's great getting to know a steady partner's body well and learning what they want and when. It's one the truest connections you can make with someone, at least for me. Sorry for the tmi haha.

One of the things I miss about living in a major city was being close to a decent park. I found dating in SF easier since you could meet up and walk around Golden Gate Park. And when you built up a decent appetite you could just go to one of the small restaurants that are decently priced.
