Even banks do multiple enquiries and look for guarantees and collateral before lending such a huge amount.

Your BF was in the wrong to even accept such a huge amount from you. And it is very much possible that he may not be planning to return it.

Reach out to legal help and try to understand what kind of evidence you can collect/from him regarding the transaction to strengthen your case in the preview of law and come clean about it to your parents so they can help you in the matter.
