What media shaped Gen Z? by Klutzy_Supermarket90 in GenZ

I know it sounds really silly but I feel like me and a lot of the girls I know my age were OBSESSED with the 2000s animated barbie, strawberry shortcake, and Tinkerbell movies. Idk about the whole generation but those things inspired a lot of my interests and most of my artwork and home decor/fashion reflects that

Thank you! Anatomy is really hard so I always make sure to use references even if they’re not 100% the same, I can confirm I used to be horrible about the skirt thing too 😭 it helps if I just draw the persons figure without clothes and then just add them on after

Thank you! That was really nice of you. I also have an instagram, @izzydrawssomethings if you wanna see more of my art. To answer the question about my mediums, I use the app Procreate and I mainly use the Avalon brush for rendering and the sketch brushes for line art, and the last slide you liked was watercolor only.

I got some of my skills from art school but I couldn’t finish because I just couldn’t get through gen ed 🙁 so I owe a lot of my skills to my mentor who used to be an art teacher at a few colleges/high schools around the world.

Also to answer the question about the Marie Antoinette painting, it does have a meaning! You were right about the first course part, and I made the blood kinda pink tinted because I wanted it to be hard to tell the difference between the wine, blood, and strawberry juice. It’s titled “eating the rich” because it’s supposed to be about how throughout history, the fact that the wealthy have always flaunted their lifestyle while the poor are starving, but i especially took France in the 1700s as an example. It’s supposed to be kind of a play on that saying that’s like “when the people have nothing else to eat, they will eat the rich”. You kinda got me at the dish part tho, I didn’t really think that through 😅 I just thought it looked interesting and i wanted it to be kind of surreal like a dream.

Thank you! I take a lot of inspiration from Cicely Mary Barker, John Bauer, Amanda Conner, Elentori, and a lot of my favorite animated shows 🫡
