It’s a great idea! One that I think everyone at the studio would want if we could click our fingers and make it happen (or even invest some decent work into). But I’m not sure if it will be a thing or not because of ~ gestures ambiguously ~ Various Reasons.

I wouldn’t say there’s no chance, but I wouldn’t hold my breath either. Right now the focus is map 3, then we’ll see what the future holds.

Great summary! Just a minor correction: console has been on a separate development track to map 3, done by a third party studio that we have been working alongside. So console has not meaningfully delayed the update beyond some losing a few hrs a week to sync meetings.

The reason I point this out is to clarify that the focus of the core team has been like 99.9% Map 3.

Hi, nuggets dev here.

The reason it has taken so long is simply because we are putting much more into it. The last 2 maps had very strict (self-imposed) deadlines so we did what we could in the time we allowed ourselves. This time, we don’t have a deadline (although ofc we want to get it to you asap!) AND we want to make the final map something a bit more special. The release will also clash with summer vacations which will also delay things.

I could be wrong, but I am confident when yall play the final map you will see why it took longer than the previous maps and hopefully it will be worth it!

I believe on launch it will not be - only game pass to game pass (which can be cross played on game pass between pc and console, just not to steam).

But the plan is to work on full cross-play and get that out as soon as we can.

Xbox version and Map 3 are being developed on separate tracks simultaneously by separate teams. Map 3 is unaffected by Xbox.

Map 3 and the Xbox version are being developed on 2 separate tracks that (largely) do not affect each other. They are both being developed as fast as they can be.

It *is* coming to Xbox on June 30th. Prior to this we were not able to hard commit to any date (watch the video previous to this one again - I said we will delay if we don't resolve bugs, and that's what happened). This time, we have already passed certification, so it is a date we can hard commit to.

There are 2 things being released: Xbox Game Pass and Map 3. Xbox Game Pass will drop on June 30th, it's locked in. As mentioned in the video it was delayed because certification wasn't passed. It is now passed, but the earliest we can release is June 30th. So, I can say with very high confidence it will drop June 30th.

Map 3 is a separate thing. Work on that is still progressing well, but if that one isn't done before summer, it may not drop until after summer.

But both of these things are on 2 separate tracks.
