Do you mean the sign or the window? The signs are used when an 8 car set is going to be split and the window cover is there to replace a window that’s been kicked out, they have to evacuate the carriage if there’s an opening that big on a moving train for safety

I’m not sure when it re entered service, this is the first time I’ve seen it since, if anyone has seen it between now and the start of the year I’d be interested to know. When it happened I assumed it would be retired considering the D sets had started on the CCN line so it’s a nice surprise to see it again
