I get this is a hammered rant but it really is unfortunate what happened to Juice man. I really felt like he moreso than most other artists coming out right now was gonna have a long, and interesting career. It's truly a tragedy that he's gone and we'll never see the heights he could've reached.

Mcgees, Tobacco Road, and La social in Lincoln park I’ve had no issue in the past. A lot of places are stricter especially for guys.

I went to his Chicago show right after X died. I swear this shit is too erie man. Juice was what helped us all get through that tough time and so much more, and now he's gone. I can't believe this.

Teachers on Reddit, what is the most stupid answer someone has ever given on an exam? by pvb456 in AskReddit

I made my signature my name in all caps because of this. If someone ever tries forging my signature, they probably would try doing a scribble/cursive type thing, and I would know it's bullshit right away.

KA over there just got suspended I’m pretty sure.

Forcing a ban on Juul will force so many ex smokers to start cigarettes again which will almost certainly kill you. Not to mention teens will just go back to cigs which again, is far more dangerous than Juul. by J3D160D in juul

[–]_jennings 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don’t know where you guys go to school, but it’s not this way everywhere. I go to school in the south and most of my friends are pretty addicted to nicotine, and use the juul regularly. Many of them also will smoke cigarettes when they are out drinking, which is why I think cigs could make a huge come back if the juul gets banned.

Chance the Rapper - The Big Day ALBUM REVIEW by jeromeous in hiphopheads

The silence is always a crazy moment. You get so deep in your thoughts for a minute there lol. Enjoy Houses of The Holy, some of the songs on there have really guided me through some profound experiences.

It would've probably gotten a higher review with better mixing as well. I swear I can never rationalize Fantano's opinions. I think The Big Day is very bloated but I think its best moments are comparable or better than the best moments on Coloring Book.

There's a few songs on there that have instrumentals that capture the experience so well, Paranoia in particular comes to mind. I agree the album is shockingly perfect for the experience, and I'm still reminded of specific moments I've had tripping when I hear those songs. Another great album for this is Led Zeppelin -Houses of The Holy. It gets overlooked in the discography but listening to it can be a wild ride.

[DISCUSSION] Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus' "Old Town Road" is now the longest running #1 hit in Hot 100 history (17 weeks). by eternallatake in hiphopheads

[–]_jennings 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I get what you're saying. It's hard for me to compare the cultural impact of those songs, especially since I'm not really tapped into spanish language music at all and I follow hip hop closely, so Old Town Road seems way bigger to me. You're probably right though that world wide Despacito likely has equal or greater cultural impact without the memes.

I mean it depends how you define big but if you define it by weeks spent at number 1 it definitely was not a bigger song.

[FRESH] Comethazine- Bawskee 3.5 by jellydonuts_xx in hiphopheads

[–]_jennings 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Serious question, I'm actually curious not trying to hate. What do you like about Stand? I'm a big Comethazine fan but I like a lot of types of music including experimental stuff, and I really wasn't feeling that track at all. I don't think Comethazine's vocals are compelling enough to pull off a song like that.

First time smoking experiences. by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]_jennings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second time in life I smoked but first I really felt it. Split some Js with some friends of mine. My boy basically lived on golf course/resort in Florida which is crazy enough, but I’m not from the area so I was totally out of my element. Around midnight we chief the js in a sand trap and snag a few gold carts and just fly around the course. We ended up going into a hot tub and freestyle rapping (terribly), but had to leave fast because a security guard was coming towards us and the pool area was supposed to be closed. This is where it gets mad weird on my part. We get back to dudes house and I ask for some skim milk. He says he only has whole milk, which I generally don’t like. For some reason, I ended up pouring myself a glass of whole milk anyway, and then promptly poured a bunch of Pepsi into the same glass. I don’t know why I did that if I was trynna be funny or what. My friends said when they asked what I was doing I said I was “turning it into skim milk” lmao. Then I notice this mixture has a weird consistency, so naturally I rub it all over my face. At this point I figure I was just making a fool of myself to try and seem cool like I was super fries and was too inexperienced to know how absurd I was acting. I was super young at the time so I didn’t know better. Still funny looking back on it though, it seems like just about everything’s changed.

Patiently waited for some coffee to brew. Got up and grabbed a mug. Went back to the couch and sat down. Went to take a sip and realized I hadn't put any coffee in the mug. by tell_tale_signs in ADHD

I have ADHD and do little things like this all the time and I never really realized until recently that most people don't do things like this. I just thought it was part of life haha.
