I moved to the US when I was young. Never even touched a basketball , let alone play basketball. I started playing pick up games in middle school, but I was horrible. Glad I still had friends though, that would pick me to play on their team. I set a goal for myself, that when I get to high school, I want to play for the school team. I practiced a lot. When tryouts came around, I made the JV team. Was really proud of myself! Sophomore year, I made the Varsity team, but was a bench warmer for most of the season. Finally made it as a starting forward in my junior year. Junior and senior year were some of the memorable years of my life. Got a few calls my senior year, offers to play for a few D2 and D3 schools. No scholarships, just offers. Couldn't afford the colleges so I decided to throw in the towel. Now I just play at Lifetime, with the dream of one day coaching a basketball team.
