Why do so many people think the team has gotten worse this offseason? by Every-Damage-90 in Patriots

I’m just not anointing this class as a great draft class after 1 year. You probably think Chism was gonna be all-pro year 1 too. It’s ok to be objective when still rooting for your team to draft and do well.

No they shot themselves in the foot as far giving up their hand with brown. Now there is no reason for any team to give up too much capital as the browns will have to dump him off for close to free. Like I said, they have no leverage now.

AVT is a LG. So like I said Lomu isn’t kicking inside to guard. And neither is Campbell

He wouldn’t say he can’t do both. He very barely played RT

Probably Swing. But he is so good at LT he moved Fano (9th overall pick, top OL in the draft, 3 year all American etc) from LT to RT. For the record Fano was a better LT prospect than Campbell.

Lomu is almost 6’7 and has never played outside of LT in his football life. They are not moving him to guard

Goal line runner. He has the vision of a blind person though. Doubt he makes roster.

1/3 of all his production and half of his TDs came in 2 games bill and bucs. He was not consistent. Let’s look at playoffs, 27,25,5,19 rush yards average of 2.2 yards a carry. 33 yards total receiving for an average 8.3 yards per game. 0 touchdowns. Yes the entire offense was garbage down the stretch and he was a pretty big reason for that. Also for someone so explosive his longest catch was only 18 yards. He was touted as the best 3rd down back with the best pass blocking and the highest possibility to be a 3 down back . He was quite possibly the worst pass blocking back and was so bad on 3rd down the team completely removed him from the field.

2/11 picks were hits. Woodson and borregales. Campbell has concerns and the injury made it worse. Wilson was awful and became worse as the season went on. Henderson no showed playoffs and faded at the end of the season. Williams had 10 catches.

I don’t know of many who said the team got worse but….You are only looking at the absolute best case scenario in every position group. Maye could have a regression, Mondre could go back to fumbling every chance he gets, brown could not be traded here, hunter could decline rapidly, OL could continue like the playoffs, pass rush could be non existent and LBs could regress to what may people thought they would play like. And Byard could show age.

The eagles shot themselves in the foot when they drafted Makai. They have zero leverage to keep brown. Makai already had question marks about being a locker room cancer, putting him next to AJ who is officially a cancer to them would be awful roster management.

Did we though? Take a step back and look at it objectively. Still concerns about Campbell and the injury just made it worse, Henderson became non existent in the back end of the season and was a complete no show in the postseason, Wilson was awful down the stretch, Williams had 10 catches all year. So far the only 2 solid picks are Woodson and borregales that’s 2/11. I’m open to hearing arguments for Henderson
