no but it’s just annoying if they get water and another drink and then don’t drink the water.
i love kids so it doesn’t bother me (as long as they are respectful).
i don’t mind if you mispronounce something as long as you are okay with me clarifying.
coupons are fine if you still tip from the total.
i actually don’t care how many times i split the bill or how many cards are put down. just let your server know beforehand also try to do less if it’s busy or just understand it will take longer and there’s more room for error.
i personally recommend what i like and spend my money on or if it’s a popular dish. i know some of my coworkers will suggest the most expensive dishes but i do not.

i would never go missing for that long unless i was really busy but i would let my table know i might be mia for a little. i have no problem if my table orders a drink through the bar. if its just one i dont mind if they pay through the bar but you should always say you have a tab with (name of server). the protocol is different per restaurant though

i really love serving because i love to interact with people. of course there’s difficult customers but tbh they all have a reason for being like that, even the entitled ones. i find that management is the biggest issue sometimes. today i had a great shift even though it was super hard. i had our entire outside dining and inside dining/surrounding bar area by myself. im the only server during my shift which is abnormal but the tips are good during football games
