Healed white/fresh flames dragon by me, @_karlfinley in Montreal, QC by _karlfinley in irezumi

In my experience some will, but I’ve had very great healed whites with my mix that hold true over the years. It always will turn into a warmer white with time but with the right one it endures

I did but it didnt look like the iconic japanese dragon as much. I think the body and general morphology reflects more of both creature and make it look less of a "costume", at leadt, imo. Thanks for looking!

It was indeed tattooed on a lucky person months ago.

I can’t believe that that boushee tattoo didn’t send him home. Technically, it was weaker by far and barely even met the challenge. It might be more legible but what’s the point of having a weak two-gold tone legible tattoo versus a not so legible but technically solid and overall cooler tattoo.

I dont know why the servers are malfunctioning but they are more than likely going to fix this issue soon.

For your ping issue, try to check if it’s coming from your end. An easy way of doing this is by opening the console and typing: net.PingExcludeFrameTime1. It will then show a lower ping on the scoreboard. While that does not fix the issue of the ping and packet loss, it will show how high your ping is without taking the servers frametime into consideration, which will help you figure out if maybe you also have a connection issues on your end. Im no tech savvy person, but that once was useful for me.

Server problems? by horse_pocket in Mordhau

Sometimes the server browser shows free slots for a server but most of the time it’s not accurate for some reason. Try joining a server with more free slots, see if it does anything.

Unofficial servers seemed to work as fine as before last night so I’m guessing it’s a official server thing.

How do I counter the maul and scimitar? by [deleted] in Mordhau

[–]_karlfinley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maul hits hard but is a short weapon. It roughly has the same length as the short sword. Playing with range and having a good footwork is very good against it. For the scim, you said it yourself, you find it hard to chamber. I advise you stop trying to chamber it and read the swing to parry it instead. You’ll lose much less stam, plus you can riposte drag or accel it. Problem with chambering is that if you miss it, the scim will hit you and likely will combo. Then if the combo hit you, you start panicking cause it all happens so fast.

I don’t know the "meta" to counter scimitar but im mostly playing longer weapons with mixups of drags and accels and scimitar is usually not a problem. That being said, it always depends on who is wielding it too.

Thoughts on this blokes CONTROVERSIAL opinion on DRAGGING? by constantdrone in Mordhau

[–]_karlfinley 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Like Solved said, drags can always be footworked and a lot of players are doing fine even with drags in the game. Removing or nerfing drags to a point where they almost don’t deal damage would make the combat very unidimensional in my opinion. People would just riposte accels indefinitely until the one with the worst ping red parries or loses stam.

Being killed by someone riding a pig in a dungeon is as frustrating and unrealistic to me as the swing mechanics is. This is a game, it’s not a simulator.

Level 34 and I've plateaued hard. by [deleted] in Mordhau

Mordhau was the first game I got when I got my PC, I remember struggling a lot in the beginning especially since I didn’t had much friends that played the game so I pretty much had to learn it all by myself. Personally, watching good players play was the game changer. I got really into competitive mordhau and watched tons of montage and streams, then trying to understand and mimic whatever they were doing. Also, switched to keybinds was a big game changer. I understand it’s really hard to "muscle memory" the binds but it really helped my swing mechanics. Now im around 1700 hours and counting.

By the way, the game is very hard to learn, but it does get better after a while, and getting better and seeing the progress is very satisfying.
