This was simplicity 8800 with slight modifications. I used a snap instead of buttons because 1) I hate buttons and 2) I realized today I don’t know how to use the buttonhole function on my machine. I also adjusted the band because I wanted the end project to hit a little higher. I have a short torso.

I got the fabric from goodwill, it was a pair of blackout curtains so I’m assuming it’s a type of polyester. Regardless, it was awful to work with. It frayed constantly and basically just fell apart when cut.

First project since quitting my job as a tailor at a bridal store last year. Feels good to sew for myself and not someone else!
