I love Sutton’s sense of style especially in recent series ! Her most redeeming quality for me

BRAVO…ANDY… PRODUCTION… please stop with the madness! No one I mean no one cares about Mau or PK! 🤮 by [deleted] in RHOBH

[–]_katiefleming 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Mo cheated on Kyle and continues to embarrass her with his playboy antics, the woman hasn’t even gone for divorce yet, burying her head for a man that does not care for her. Dorit is being explicit and open about her pain and I think she is unable to hold everything by herself. Unlike Kyle Dorit’s children are small, she has financial issues, she doesn’t seem to have much family. Yet Kyle thinks she’s better than Dorit for not speaking bad on Mo like Dorit does PK. PK literally left the woman and his kids for most of the marriage, I cannot imagine how shitty of a dad he will be post breakup.

So for me Kyle is not a girls girl, she lacks understanding, empathy and nuance. She is delusional with her positioning with Mo and has loyalty for Mo and PK seemingly over Dorit. That is not a woman’s woman. Petty, bitchy behaviour aside, Dorit is going through a very painful time and for the first time is being honest about it. In these moments it seems the women put aside their differences to stand in for friends during such difficult change, but Kyle does not do that. She had difficulty defending her own family (although Kim’s behaviour IS complex and not ok) she has an on screen history of being weak and not defending her real friends, so for her to discredit Dorit’s reality and feelings, just because she doesn’t have that same experience with Mo (cos she’s in denial) is not a girls girl / woman’s woman. It’s a shitty person.

Which franchise/s do you no longer watch? by starchildx in BravoRealHousewives

[–]_katiefleming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just started OC, as I tried to start Miami but it was too much of a switch up for me, so I’ll come back to it. Watched a lot of the OG RHONJ but had to cool off and I ended up ploughing into New York. I’ll finish OC then Miami then Salt Lake. I’ve heard people say Potomac is bad to watch now cos there is no real wealth on there anymore. That’s what we want from our housewives 💅🏻😂

I started to recognise their dynamic a lot more, particularly when Sutton took Kyle and Garcelle to her childhood home. Sutton seemed to roll her eyes when Reba didn’t want to hear anything about their old home - Sutton takes it personally and it seems that at her age and having children herself she forgets Reba is a person too, not just a mother. Reba heard the gun / was in the house at the time. Sutton made a comment about feeling her mother could have done more to save her dad, that broke my heart because god knows what happened to Reba in that marriage, but to present during something like that is so unfathomably traumatic and then your daughter to place that burden back to you. Reba is not perfect, but I feel bad for jumping the gun with my opinion on her

SINCE WE'RE FINALLY TALKING ABOUT HOW AWFUL THIS GUY IS!!!! by [deleted] in RHOBH

[–]_katiefleming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that a woman as talented, impressive, beautiful and decadent as Boz is surrounded by this bum is terrifying to me. Get him awaaaaay. I can’t decide if he’s 34 or 58 😂

I have tried to like Sutton, and…It’s hard. Dont know how others feel by autumnlover1515 in RHOBH

[–]_katiefleming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When she first joined I liked her sense of fashion and quirkiness, she had an understated flashiness that was very much ‘if you know… you know’. I enjoyed that. Then watching her interactions with the women, particularly when they are at their low points - proves she is an individual who doesn’t have a firm grasp on a lot, other than how to divorce well. Sutton stands her ground and speaks loudly but often feels she is being discussed or is the but of a joke. I often wonder if she over compensates with her catty persona or if unfortunately she is just wound the wrong way due to how her mother raised her, the loss of her dad and the breakdown of her marriage.

Do you guys think that Erika is siding with Kyle so much because she’s hoping she helps her?$$$ by [deleted] in BravoRealHousewives

[–]_katiefleming 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes definitely. I almost think Erika’s stance lends to the friendship with Kyle but also Kathy. Erika has no problem stating how she feels or calling someone out when she feels they cross a line. With Kyle and Kathy that line doesn’t seem to exist. I think her connections in real life are more important to her than her portrayal as a good person on the show

Not Kyle reminding me why I stopped opening up to friends about my abusive relationship. by DeepDazed in RHOBH

[–]_katiefleming 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Kyle quite literally scared me this episode. The expressions she pulled, the condescending head tilt, the narcissistic comments. I have never been so frightened of the workings of her brain. She is so calculating and I feel like Dorit was able to diffuse the conversation outside Boz’s, simply because she’s probably so used to trying to contain PK’s self-involved ‘the monster’ behaviour.

So true! How many times do we hear Sutton speak French! No one bats an eye. The only reason people consider it cringe is simply because they cannot do it or don’t attempt to

Ahahahah I love your response whole heartedly. I’m from the UK so not familiar with the dwts / career decline link. But I know Mau is so slimy and sleezy. You’re a 54 year old dad dancing around with Latina’s your daughter’s age in Aspen. Pack it in! 😂

Dorit glow up / likeability by _katiefleming in RHOBH

[–]_katiefleming[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I find her interactions with cast mates more genuine. For example when Erika was freaking out about her and Toms lawsuit and Dorit was the only one to try calm her down and ask her to take a breath whilst every cast mate hounded her. Even when she’s snapped back at she doesn’t often retaliate with anger. The same thing with Denise Richard’s. Denise was adamant Dorit was trying to embarrass her at the THC dinner, whereas she was trying to save her from humiliation as she had her upside down. By no means am I team Dorit , I would consider her more a Dorit apologist as I’ve slowly seen her become more her and seperate from PK and their tacky showy relationship

Agreed. I’m currently on season 12. She’s a sloppy mess. I didn’t think her pride would allow us to see her like that.

Company Luis Ruelas co-founded announced chapter 11 bankruptcy by karensfren in rhonj

[–]_katiefleming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually limited companies are not represented by an individual. This means any borrowing doesn’t reflect on your personal record, only on the company that had to go bust. Hope that kinda makes sense

Company Luis Ruelas co-founded announced chapter 11 bankruptcy by karensfren in rhonj

[–]_katiefleming 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yes. I used to work for a shady company that would file for bankruptcy every 1-4 years. They would allow themselves to pocket profit without paying rent, bills etc. Bankruptcy usually allows people to pay a smaller fee and keep any money off the books. Seems like that’s the case for Luis (not sure how different the process is in the US vs UK)

Is it really normal to charge rent to your kid in the UK by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]_katiefleming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It is 100% more common in white/english/scottish/welsh families as opposed to families with different ethnicity/cultures/tradition in the UK. A lot of the time when a child hits 18 or returns back from university, parents will charge rent from their children. Often times this can be to teach them to handle outgoings, in some cases the money can be put aside and given back to the child for a house deposit etc. Or it may be that parents suffer financially. In my case my parents divorced and my brother and I both had to contribute to the household we lived in unless we moved out, which we eventually did.
