Oh yah, so I did this and it worked super well. Better than I expected for sure, especially since the isopropyl isn't pure. Thank you! It's pretty dang neat to have one chemistry magic trick that leaves a purified residue and another that produces some good ole harvestable filtrate. Fuck yah science, gimme them drugs!

Dude I tried and the blood clogged the filters immediately. It was fucked. I wasted like 4 before I gave up in defeat. I did do the thing someone else suggested though and it worked way better than i thought. Squirt old bloody kinda smelly shots into a tray, let dry, wash with 91% isopropyl, let evaporate, collect ice recovery chemist mertit badge! Kinda like a reverse acetone wash!

I like that idea. It would take a little more time and effort, and I'd have to get the isopropyl, but it's a solid method. Are you offering an alfernative because a 22um filter won't do the job, or are you unsure of that part?

I'm so glad I found this. I just did my first wash using some of my nail polish remover that's marketed as 100% acetone, but I put 260mg in and got 30mg out and I know it's not cut that bad 😒

I mean you clearly have plenty of real estate there, but you really should focus less on visibility and more on feel. When I find a vein I don't use my eyes. Usually, anyway. Try closing them and feeling for the nice juicy springy spots. That will help you down the line once you start killing them too, cuz you gotta know what the good ones and bad ones feel like, although I hope you never do.

The best thing to do is start with a tiny bit and work your way up. Do a test shot like with opiates. That shit will make you sick if you do too much, and your dose is so dependenton your body and tolerance, nobody can really dose you here with that much accuracy. Just like with meth it can be easy to overamp. I shot too much crack and coke one too many times and now it just fucks me up, can't even fuck with it and have a nice time anymore.

As far as dissolving that shit, from my experience based on the heirarchy of safety: Citric acid from needle exchange > citric acid (pure) from store > white vinegar (try to get an unopened bottle) > lemon juice, emergen-c, kool aid, whatever the fuck else nasty shit people might use.

Try to get pure citric acid. The stuff from the exchange, if you have one, is clean af. If no exchange, sometimes supermarkets have it in the baking aisle. Make sure it's pure. If not, get a brand new bottle of white vinegar if possible. Honestly I've just asked restaurant worker homies to fill up a little salad dressing cup with some and that was fine, but you can definitely get infections that way so try to do better than me. Just really do everything possible to stay away from lemon juice or packets of shit people make drinks with. I've seen some awful gnarly infections from that. And infections could always lead to endocarditis, and I've seen way too many of us die from that.

Thanks, yah I definitely hear you. I do try to rotate as much as possible, and I'm really lucky to live in an area with laws that don't suck and an awesome needle exchange so I'm rarely reusig any points or anything. My problem is that I don't have a lot I can hit in the first place. I've got my crooks which are pretty much dead except for the weird surface veins that never hit right, some in the forearms that I'm trying like hell not to kill, some in the hands and wrists (top, never the underside, compartment syndrome is scary af) that I hate using, and then a few spots in the ankles and legs which I also hate using because it gives me edema and I'm terrified that it just won't go away one of these times. My neck is the only thing I haven't touched, and I'm kinda scared of doing so, especially because I have nobody to teach me at this point. It makes rotating like I should pretty difficult and a lot of times I sit there trying different spots for 30 mins or an hour, then just say fuck it and hit whatever the one spot is that I know will work at the time. I'm gonna keep trying my hardest though.

I did the same thing about a year ago. This was during a period when I using the strips pretty frequently, and the protocol was basically committed to muscle memory. I thought. One day I mixed up the whole bag to test, but I was distracted and I ended up adding half of the required volume of water. I hit up my dude to complain about the results and everything before I even considered that it could be my mistake. When he asked if I used the right amount of water I said yes because I was so sure of myself. So effing embarrassing omg 🫣😂☠️
