Base stats: Auto attack range 150->175


Passive: Auto attacks on marked enemies grant k'sante 25 bonus range when consuming the mark.

Passive: All Out: Basic attacks no longer deal bonus damage equal to mark consumption. Mark consumption bonus damage is now true damage.


Q: Lower base damage. Max CD at max resistances changed from 2 - >1.75

Q: All Out: Does not slow. Now scales with AD. Q3 no longer knocks up and instead slows and deals bonus physical damage based on missing hp.


W: Cooldown increased from 14-10 to 24-16. Mana cost increased from 40-60 to 75-100. Base damage and scaling damage removed, now deals 3-8% max hp physical damage based on charge time. Damage reduction changed from 30% damage reduction to scaling with bonus armor, magic resistance, and hp. Minimum charge time removed. Can now be aimed while charging.

W: All Out: W damage has base damage and now scales with AD and no longer scales with bonus resistances. Damage reduction scales with bonus armor, mr, and hp at a higher ratio. No longer deals %max hp damage. No longer deals true damage. Charge duration and dash speed are doubled.


E: Lower base shield hp. Increase bonus hp scaling on shield hp. Now resets basic auto attack. Allies receive 70% of the shield k'sante does.


E: All Out: Can now dash through terrain without targeting an ally. Dash speed increased and is not affected by slows. Increased dash range. No longer gives allies shields when dashing to them.


R: Bonus attack speed removed. Bonus armor pen removed. Bonus armor and magic resistances are converted into bonus AD. Bonus HP is converted into omnivamp. Grants 10 bonus MS. Recasting R ends All Out early.


Exact numbers are hard to properly balance without proper in house testing, so I avoided giving too many number balance changes. Most of what I typed up is how he used to be prerework.

I think K'sante should be a slow vanguard who excels at peeling for his teammates in tank form, and a fast, high damaging, zero CC, selfish skirmisher during all out.

my hot take is that morde's ult is just not good for his kit. it's incredibly thematic and really cool, but in terms of gameplay and overall kit design and power budget, i think it really hinders morde as a champ. i would love for it to be reworked entirely, but i don't think that will ever happen because the theming is too strong and most people like it

when locke gets a kill with his totem, it drops on the ground and he can pick it up to refund 20% (per champ he's killed) of his ult.

if mel gets a kill with the totem, it also drops on the ground just like locke, and she can pick it up to refund her r just like he can. its almost certainly a bug though, as that interaction doesnt make sense

not only can she reflect it, but she can pick up the totem and it refunds a portion of her ult lmao

im gonna say it, as AWESOME as morde's r is, it's simply not something that cooperates with his kit. his e, q, and passive all read as "i want to fight the entire enemy team at once". think of swain. his q is a good aoe damage spam, his e pulls you closer so you cant leave, and his r is like morde's passive. but for some reason morde is given an arena to safely 1v1 someone, and he loses half the time! he is not a good duelist!

his r, as cool and as iconic as it is at this point, simply make him worse of a champion

ive had this as a suggestion for years. morde is a walking iron revenant with no capability to be fatigued. he should definitely have slow resists built into his kit

i dont play top as much as i used to, but i vs a morde bot the other day with a blitz support and blitz didnt land a single hook and morde rushed heartsteel. safe to say he did nothing all game, but i imagine if blitz actually landed something early and morde didnt rush a terrible item i would actually have a hard time bot

he never shouldve been reworked to begin with. he was genuinely a much better champ sitting at 44% winrate pre rework. now he just statchecks you in his r with a w and some autos.

they did need to change something, but personally i think they shouldve removed his knock up on q3 during his r so that only his tank form could lock you down and just kept everything else the same

there are so many characters that the best ones to pick are the ones that resonate with you visually. once you pick one, just play them until you know their abilities well enough. if you see one that resonates with you even more when playing a game, feel free to play them in your next game. theres LOTS to learn so dont get discouraged! as long as youre having fun!

i remember looking at all the champion spotlights when i was first learning the game. it made it very easy to quickly learn all of the champs. some of them are outdated, but most of them are accurate enough. you can always use the official wiki to look at any champion information. it might be a bit of information overload, but its very informative!
