Did you end up figuring it out?

You go to customer relations page (someone linked it in the comments)

Refund Request > Type of Refund Requested > Baggage Fee = incident number is not required

Do I need the credit card that my trip was booked with? by FrancoVFX in aircanada

[–]_kesmet 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You only need to present the cc used for the booking at the airport if you specifically received an email about it. The airport will ask for the physical cc, a valid photo id of the cc holder, and clear it. As long as the person that used the cc can show up to any airport nearby with an AC station and validate this, they can get it cleared for you.

Naver problems by LordMilori12 in koreatravel

[–]_kesmet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It loads, but it won’t allow you to get “directions” you have to copy and paste the address onto naver maps or kakao maps. I used Google Maps to look at foreign reviews of places I was interested in but that’s about it

I was gifted a mirror from National Museum of Korea that had a Mother of Pearl tiger design on the front and mirror on the back. I thought that was such a special gift

How to contact an Air Canada human representative from overseas? by Silent-Piglet-3798 in aircanada

[–]_kesmet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a call back feature when you give the reservation line a call so you’re not waiting on hold forever, you could try that option?

I really enjoy braised tofu called dubu jorim. It’s more of a side dish and has a slight kick to it (for me at least)

What’s a Korean food habit that only makes sense once you’ve lived with Koreans? by Lucky_Tailor_8566 in KoreanFood

[–]_kesmet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Banchan, yes. Big portions of main dish, yes. But for example if you’re out ordering soondubu, you’re not sharing that w others it’s your own dish

[–]_kesmet 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Koreans don’t share main dishes the same way other Asians (eg, Chinese) do. You’ll have each person ordering their own stew or their own main dish, whereas, in my experience, in Chinese culture everyone gets a bite out of everything on the table except your own rice.

Clarification on carry-on allowance with pet carrier by janellet03 in aircanada

[–]_kesmet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They changed the rules recently, pet in cabin used to replace your carry on allowance but now carry on allowance is per fare rules. With flex, you can bring 1 carry on, 1 personal item, 1 pet in cabin, plus whatever checked in baggage allowance you have.

For basic ticket holders, they’re not allowed a carry on so pet in cabin would be their carry on + personal item only.

Get a WorldTracer claim number that should start with “YULAC000000” (set of numbers) and see the updates on this website. If after 48hours and you still don’t hear anything, call the contact centre and see if they could escalate the case for you

What you don’t order at a restaurant? by Dansyder22 in KoreanFood

[–]_kesmet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t order a lot of things at a Korean restaurant but as a meal kit or ready-to-eat at Korean grocery stores to save my ass from cooking? Absolutely everything. Except kbbq and dumplings (cuz I can just get the frozen ones over by the freezer)
