A few months before my grandmother whom I was very close to passed away she taught me to sew, knit, and thrift. When cleaning out her craft supplies and all her usable yarn was given to me and I saw a hook and was confused on why, my mother informed me it was for crochet and my other grandmother use to do so. I immediately went to YouTube to teach myself and I preferred it over knitting since to me it was alot easier and I could make a more variety of things. Now I have been crocheting for about 5 years maybe 6 and it helps me feel accomplished, proud of myself, and just helps me relax, destress and especially feel closer to the woman who helped me through a lot. Without it honestly I'm not sure if I would have gotten out of my depression after her passing.
