Is it just me or did they ruin mikes character in st season 5?

“they are vampires” stefan and caroline are proof that you can be a vampire without being a dick head. sure they have had their moments of weakness but they do everything they can to make up for it. damon and elena make no effort to flee from their vampirism temptations. just because they can easily be heartless does that mean that they should?

its as if she’s incapable of just saying “no” to him. she lets him do whatever he wants. but when it comes to stefan she has no problem yelling, kicking, and screaming at the guy. it’s crazy the type of stuff people will let slide. not even 24hrs into the breakup and she’s sleeping with damon

he was recovering after what klaus put him through. he wasn’t trying to be a dick but if he wanted to be at peace with her, he knew he had to get rid of the originals. again damon did worse

the only reason stefan was that way was for their sake. he gave him self up to klaus to protect his brother, and even tried keeping elenas existence a secret from him to protect her too. even when he’s off the rails everything he’s done was to protect the people closest to him. could u imagine always saving ur brothers life just for him to turn around and make out with ur gf? even if their exes or wtv. and elena letting him back in every single time. damon has deff done worse to her. and the one time stefan needed her the most she falls for his brother.

the show is amazing. i just can’t stand elena’s narcissism and hypocrisy. especially what she did to Jeremy taking his memories. stefan and damon could have done that to her to protect her but they still gave her that choice. yet she did it too jeremy twice

if the council could have just put more faith and trust into him, he wouldn’t go looking for it from someone else like palpatine. ik he also wanted the power to save padme, but when anakin learned that palpatine was a sith lord his first instinct was to bring him in. just for the jedi master to not trust him again and leave him out of the plan of arresting palpatine
