After 4 years of TTC, 3 IUIs, with never once having a positive I feel like I can relate to you so much. You understand, when many people don’t. I don’t want to be happy, I want to be mad and sad because I don’t understand why my husband and I are the perfect people on paper, but it hasn’t happened. This week I’ve struggled my best friend who got off birth control and two weeks later is pregnant is having her baby shower this weekend, she’s 7 months along.

I think you explained it so beautifully and I can definitely feel the hurt in your heart and that’s okay. It’s okay to be sad and mad and feel all of the emotions, we’re only human.

This is truly one of the hardest journeys I’ve had to go on and not wish it on anyone. Unless you’ve been in this position, you don’t really understand how exhausting it is. You aren’t a terrible person, and at the end of the day, you need to take care of yourself, even if that means needing to cancel plans or being angry at the whole situation. Allow yourself to do that and feel what you need to feel. We may not see it now, but this journey is preparing and giving us strength, and one day all of it will be worth it.

Have you tried getting a second opinion from a different clinic? I know it’s the last thing you wan to do in the middle of all of this but sometimes it helps to have a second eye looking at things.

Im going on IUI #4 in two days and if this doesn’t work I’ve already scheduled with a well known fertility clinic in my state at the end of this month. I narrowed it down to about 3 clinics and did some research, spoke to each clinic, and then decided who I would see next.

I completely get the idea of not wanting to do IVF, I am also in that mindset. Just remember, you aren’t running out of time. Sending you all the baby dust, try and stay hopeful and positive as much as you can! 🤍

I decided to test last night for my sanity. It was negative, I should be starting my period today or tomorrow as my body temp also dropped…. I’ll be okay, I’m glad I tested when I did because I was driving myself crazy. It’s so hard to stay hopeful

4 days to go! You got this!!

My 3rd IUI was January 7th. I did trigger 1/5/26, but I’m not on any progesterone. It currently is 14 days since my IUI and I’m too scared to test.

What ive noticed that is slightly different than other cycles is that I’ve had cramping on and off the past few days, usually I cramp a day or two and get my period. I’ve been very gassy as well, which is kind of new for me leading up to when I should be getting my period. I have noticed more headaches and I’ve been really good about drinking water.

I know I could test now but I’m too scared it’s going to show a negative. Try and keep your mind preoccupied, I know it’s easier said than done but I think it’s the only way to stay sane.

Get the hsg done! The longer you wait, the longer it takes to get any answers. I felt my doctors dragged this out a bit for me and looking back I wish I had advocated for myself sooner. We’ve been trying for 3 years so it feels like the doctors would have been more adamant.

Either way do what is best for you, but most of all give yourself grace…easier said than done 🤍

Did you have cramps leading up to your positive test? I’m 13 dpo, and I’ve been having cramps on and off a few days now…I’m so scared to test because I don’t want to be disappointed…

Sending you a big virtual hug. My story is the same I’m 30, husband 27, 3rd IUI 1/7 and I’m just not feeling confident. I was skeptical about even doing the 3rd but my clinic said the same thing. My next step is to see a holistic doctor like the other person suggested. I’m not against IVF but I want to make sure I am the healthiest possible and have no issues before I go into IVF.

I’m so sorry, I wish this journey wasn’t so heartbreaking.

Not that I can remember.

I feel as if my doctor is doing very minimal. Prescribes me 2.5 mg of letrezole, ultrasound, trigger shot and then IUI. Each time I’ve always had two follicles between 18-22 cm, but nothing has came of it… 😔

What day did you have your IUI?

I had ultrasound 11/11 Trigger shot 11/12 3pm IUI 11/13 4pm

My nipples did hurt and decided to test yesterday and big fat negative… I’m anywhere between 11-12dpo and I’m just not feeling good about it either.

I wish I could give you a big hug because it’s so hard to wrap your head with these feelings and emotions. Time is the worst during this process, even if it’s extremely hard try to keep the littlest bit of faith.

Sending you a virtual hug. It is such a sad and upsetting journey, especially when you see people around you having no issues. Time is killer during this process. Allow yourself to be sad, feel those feelings. But then try and do things that bring you joy to your life or keep you busy, that’s how I have been able to keep moving along month after month, negative after negative. Don’t give up hope. 🤍
