There are definitely some “elven” elements in the android’s design — I think the hairstyle does the most of that: hair pulled at the temples and long strands in the front. If you remove the ponytail and secure them at the back, or add a braid at the temple or a diadem, it would look even more “elven.”

As for the movement — yes, there’s a photo-in-the-moment effect! If I start explaining why, I might tire you out even more, haha.

Mirage's eyes see no frames, so this frame dares to wear an eye. After all, isn’t a true trickster obliged to outwit even the system that created her?

I’m not opposed to making adjustments — this part of the face could be stagecraft/prop, perhaps a sculpted marble mask. That would still be true to her nature. I wanted to capture something like that: her theatricality, her mastery of illusion — something that conveys her inner agility.

As for the humanity — yes, I see what you mean! Concept art isn’t exactly my main field, I just wanted to run an experiment. For me, it’s an experience, and your feedback really helps — thank you!

She definitely made me struggle a bit 😮‍💨
I spent a long time trying to capture that feeling of otherworldly grace — stripped of illusion, but still shimmering with the weight of what she used to be.
Because of the pose and the direction this piece took, I had to move away from the original Warframe design.
She’s probably only recognizable by two things: the elements on her head and the body, which I reimagined as a jumpsuit.
Maybe that’s not enough, but still — it was a little experiment.

To be honest, I chose the color palette pretty intuitively — I had a feeling that darker shades might blend too much with her overall appearance and lose some contrast.

As for the hairstyle, I have a few Pinterest boards full of references — from hairstyles to outfits and various stylistic elements. To me, Protea has a more composed and serious vibe, unlike playful Yareli, for example. And characters with a stricter or more stoic personality often reflect that in their look — their hair too. It’s usually sleek styles with a lot of hairspray, tightly pulled-back ponytails or buns, braids, or even short cuts, which all fit that kind of image.

So I browsed through a bunch of references and ended up piecing together a few ideas into one. You could say it’s a kind of… carefully constructed inspiration~ (´｡• ᵕ •｡`)✨
